Lewis Hamilton has been given the Union Jack by a marshal and now he is taking his Mercedes on a victory lap around Silverstone to the delight of the home crowd.
"This means a lot to us all," says Pete Bonnington.
Max Verstappen brings his Red Bull home in second place, Lando Norris makes it two British drivers on the podium in third, Oscar Piastri finishes in fourth and Carlos Sainz completes the top five.

The fans are roaring with every corner taken by the seven-time world champion. Lewis Hamilton is 2.3 seconds clear of Max Verstappen and is heading for his first win since the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2021.

It's hard to believe Lewis Hamilton hasn't won a Formula 1 race since Saudi Arabia in 2021 but what better way to end the drought than taking victory in front of the home fans at the British Grand Prix?
Lewis Hamilton is almost there. Even Rowan Atkinson is loving this in the Mercedes garage. The seven-time world champion holds a three-second advantage over the Red Bull of Max Verstappen.

The Red Bull is closing in on the McLaren at a rapid rate now and by Luffield, the reigning world champion is harassing Lando Norris. The pair reach the Hangar Straight and this is where the Red Bull choses to strike! The Dutchman pulls out and goes round the outside of Norris at Stowe to claim P2.
That purple stopwatch is pitched firmly next to Max Verstappen's name. The Dutchman is pounding the tarmac in third place but Lando Norris is still in second, just managing to stay out of the DRS threat of Verstappen.
