Sweden's Fredrik Jacobson enjoyed his first PGA Tour victory at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut winning by one shot from American Ryan Moore.

Jacobson took a one-shot lead into the last day and maintained that with another superb round of 66.

Moore had been four shots behind overnight but, having closed the gap to one, bogeyed the final hole.

Jacobson, who dropped only one shot all tournament, finished with a par-four to end the event on 20 under.

John Rollins put together a final day charge, shooting a 63 to challenge the Swede's lead - as did Michael Thompson, whose eight under-par round of 62 also put him in contention.

But Jacobson, who won three times on the European Tour with his most recent win coming in 2003, was not to be denied and revealed his delight at finally securing his maiden PGA victory.

"It feels unbelievable to win my first event," said Jacobson.

"I have been hitting so many fairways this week and I think that was the key. I was striking the ball better in the US Open than I ever have.

"I am in good form and so I just kept on playing well," he added.
