Britain and Ireland will take a 7-5 lead over the United States into the final day of the Walker Cup.

The home side produced a great start and finish to give the underdogs the advantage at Royal Aberdeen.

Rhys Pugh, Steven Brown, James Byrne and Paul Cutler all won singles that went at least to the 17th and Cutler was the only double winner of the day.

"It was like playing in a dream," said Pugh, who beat world number three amateur Patrick Rodgers 2&1.
