Justin Rose to miss two tournaments with shoulder injury
- Published
England's Justin Rose has been ruled out of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the Farmers Insurance Open because of a shoulder injury.
Last year's US Open champion suffered from tendinitis in his right shoulder in the closing weeks of last year.
But his management company have said he should return in February.
"With rest and rehab as the only means of recovery, he will be forced to delay his start to the 2014 calendar season," the 33-year-old's agents said.
"With this necessary time to heal, Justin likely will return to action in February."
Rose had been scheduled to play at the tournament in Abu Dhabi, which starts on 16 January, and at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines the following week.
