England's Charley Hull is on course to top the European Order of Merit after making a strong start to the season-ending Dubai Ladies Masters.

Hull, 18, shot an opening five-under-par 67, one stroke behind Sweden's Carin Koch and Shanshan Feng of China.

She leads France's Gwlayds Nocera by just over £18,000 in the Order of Merit, with £59,000 on offer for the winner in Dubai.

Nocera, playing in the same group as Hull, ended day one on three under.
