Italian overnight leader Molinari shot a four-under-par 68 on day three, while South Korea's An returned a 67.

Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee (68) is on 12 under, one clear of England's Tommy Fleetwood (65), who carded an albatross at the par-five fourth.

Miguel Angel Jimenez made a hole in one at the second, his third of the season and 10th on the European Tour.

The Spaniard, 51, also carded an ace at last week's Spanish Open and now has the most on the European Tour, one more than Scotland's Colin Montgomerie.

Molinari was briefly three shots ahead after carding his fifth birdie of the day on the 13th, but bogeyed the next and saw playing partner An birdie the 17th and 18th to draw level.

Molinari, who finished second at last week's Spanish Open, would secure his place in the US Open and Open Championship with a win on Sunday.

Southport's Fleetwood, 24, was delighted after managing only the third albatross in the history of the event.

"That was about as good as you can play a hole of golf," said the world number 54.

"Perfect drive, 198 yards to the pin. I was thinking one club less but went with a normal seven iron and it pitched seven or eight feet right of the pin and span in."

Defending champion and world number one Rory McIlroy missed the cut after carding a 78 on Friday.
