English teenager Charley Hull is two shots off the lead in a tie for third after day one of the Women's PGA Championship - the year's second major.

The 19-year-old, from Kettering, shot eight birdies in a five-under 68 at the Westchester Country Club in New York.

South Korea's Jenny Shin leads by one from Canada's Brooke Henderson, 17, who dropped her only shot at her 18th hole.

Two-time defending champion Inbee Park began with a 71 while world number one Lydia Ko is a shot further back.

"I think everybody feels a little pressure because it's a major tournament and everybody wants to do well," said Inbee, who had five birdies and three bogeys.
