Paul Casey lost out in a play-off as two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson won his second Travelers Championship title in Connecticut.

Englishman Casey, 37, finished on 16 under with Watson but was beaten on the second play-off hole.

The win was American Watson's eighth on the PGA Tour.

Casey hit a five-under-par 65 in the final round, while Watson shot a 67, with a par on the last ensuring a play-off after he bogeyed the 17th.

Both made par at the first play-off hole but then Casey found a greenside bunker with his approach on the second, before hitting his next shot into the crowd.

That left Watson to sink a birdie putt to seal victory.

"Casey played great," Watson, 36, said. "I hung on and that's what we have to do sometimes to win."
