Jordan Spieth warmed up for next week's Open with a career best 10-under 61 which moved him into the lead of the John Deere Classic after three rounds.
The 21-year-old American is on course for the Grand Slam having already won the Masters and US Open this year.
Spieth has recovered from a first-round 71 to move to 17 under going into the final round at the John Deere Classic.
Danny Lee is Spieth's closest rival, with the New Zealander two shots behind after an impressive third-round 62.
Lee won his first tournament at the Greenbrier Classic last Sunday.
"I feel very confident about Sunday," said Lee. "I think it's going to be a fun day for us."
Spieth won his first PGA Tour title at the same event two years ago and is attempting to become the first player since Ben Hogan in 1953 to win the first three majors of the year.
His third round included two eagles and six birdies, including holing out with a sand wedge from 107 yards at the par-five 17th and running in a 15-foot birdie at the last.
"I just seem to get some lucky breaks here at the John Deere," Spieth told Golf Channel.
"That turning point mid-round on Friday where I had a really good stretch to get inside the cut line is what really gave me a lot of confidence.
"The hole looked a little bigger from there on in. In order to shoot a really low round you obviously have to have some putts go in from mid-range."
