England's Justin Rose has won his eighth European Tour title with victory at the Hong Kong Open.

Lucas Bjerregaard moved two shots ahead of Rose on the ninth, but a birdie for the Englishman on the 10th and bogey for the Dane on 11 levelled things.

Bjerregaard double bogeyed the 14th and Rose hit a two-under 68 to finish on 17 under, one clear of the 24-year-old.

England's Matthew Fitzpatrick finished tied in third on 11 under while countryman Ian Poulter tied for 29th.

Fitzpatrick, who won the British Masters at Woburn a fortnight ago, was primed to finish third on his own.

However, three bogeys and a birdie in his final four holes saw the 21-year-old drop back to 11 under.

Poulter, who made a last-minute journey from Orlando to play this week in order to help maintain his European Tour membership, finished at five under after a closing 69.
