Women's FIH Pro League 2019: Great Britain schedule, results and standings
- Published
The Netherlands beat Australia 4-3 in a shootout to win the inaugural Women's FIH Pro League final in Amsterdam.
Germany also needed a shootout to clinch victory over Argentina in the third-place match.
Great Britain have been taking part in both the men's and women's competitions in the first edition of the FIH Pro League.
The competition, set up by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), replaced the Hockey World League and serves as qualification for the World Cup and Olympics.
The Pro League has seen nine of the world's top teams face each other home and away, with the top four advancing to the finals.
Head coach Mark Hager's Great Britain squad failed to make the semi-finals after finishing second bottom of the group, winning just three of their 16 matches.
The side will also compete in the 2020 edition in the build-up to the Tokyo Olympics, with England taking over in 2021 and 2022.
