Great Britain finished fourth in the inaugural men's FIH Pro League after losing 5-3 to hosts Netherlands in the third-place match.
Australia, who finished top of the table after the group stages and beat Great Britain 6-1 in the semi-finals, edged a tight final 3-2 against Belgium.
The Pro League has seen eight of the world's top teams face each other home and away, with the top four advancing to the finals in Amsterdam.
