Britain's leading female flat jockey Hayley Turner is thrilled to be back in action after nearly four months out with a broken ankle.

The Nottinghamshire jockey returned to the fray at Kempton on Tuesday but had a blank afternoon.

Turner said: "It's good to be back and I just need to work harder to get a little bit stronger.

"I have a couple of screws in my ankle but it felt fine and I just want to put my head down. I'm not setting targets."

Turner's first two rides passed without incident as she finished in mid-division, before Lucky Art had to be withdrawn from division two of the five-furlong Bet At bluesq.com On Your Mobile Handicap.
