Favourite Solwhit ridden by Paul Carberry wins the Liverpool hurdle comfortably. Winning jockey Carberry said: "He travelled brilliantly and jumped absolutely brilliantly. It's just brilliant."
Battle Group ridden by Daryl Jacob wins the Handicap Steeple Chase by 15 lengths. "He's one of my best rides of the week. It's great to get on him today. He's a good traveller. A great jumper," said the winning jockey. The big one is next.

Smiles all round as Ryan Mania (centre) returns to the winners' enclosure after winning the Grand National race. "It went by in a flash," he said. "I couldn't believe the run I got. I was enjoying it. I couldn't have asked for a better ride."
