Belfast Giants lose to Nottingham Panthers in penalty shoot-out

The Belfast Giants were forced to settle for a point as they lost 3-1 to Nottingham Panthers in a penalty shoot-out after the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
David Ling and Anthony Stewart netted in the first period of Friday night's Elite League match at the Odyssey Arena to put the visitors in control.
Craig Peacock scored in the second period and Gregory Stewart with 30 seconds left on the clock to equalise.
Peacock missed penalties to hand Nottingham the extra point.
Eric Werner, David Ling and Matt Francis scored their penalties for Nottingham in the shoot-out, with Jeff Mason finding the target for Belfast.
