Champions elect the Belfast Giants completed back-to-back victories over Sheffield Steelers by winning 4-3 at the Odyssey Arena on Sunday.

Saturday night's 4-2 win over the Steelers had increased Belfast's Elite League lead to a whopping 17 points.

Craig Peacock scored two goals for Belfast on Sunday as they fought back from 3-2 down to take victory.

David Phillips netted Belfast's opening goal with Kevin Saurette scoring the winner with just over 13 minutes left.

Phillips put Belfast ahead after only 34 seconds and after Jeff Legue replied for Sheffield, Peacock restored the Giants lead with two minutes remaining in the first period.

Sheffield bossed the second period as Dustin Kohn quickly levelled before Chad Langlais put Doug Christiansen's side ahead.

But Peacock restored parity one minute and 34 seconds into the final period and Saurette's winner came with 13 minutes and 11 seconds remaining.

Belfast are now 19 points clear of Sheffield Steelers and Dundee Stars at the top of the Elite League table.
