Belfast Giants celebrate scoring one of their two goals against Cardiff Devils

Goals from Brandon Benedict and Matt Nickerson earned the Belfast Giants a significant 2-0 win over Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils on Wednesday.

Before a crowd of almost 5,000 at the SSE Arena, Benedict opened the scoring in the first period, with Nickerson adding the second in the third period.

The Giants travel to face Braehead on Sunday 27 December and entertain the same opposition two days later.

A busy festive period continues with a home game with Dundee on 30 December.
