Cardiff Devils have re-signed centreman Matthew Myers, who joins from Nottingham Panthers.

The 31-year-old started at the Devils and last year won the Challenge Cup and Play-off Championship with Nottingham.

Myers scored 15 goals and contributed 20 assists for the Panthers in 63 games last season and is considered one of the EIHL's top face-off specialists.

"We are pleased to get Matthew back in Cardiff, for the foreseeable future," Devils director Todd Kelman said.

"His style of play is something we missed last season. He is a workhorse and a real battler."

Myers is the tenth player to commit to next season at the new Ice Arena Wales.

Luke Piggott, Zach Hervato and Chris Culligan will also return for the Devils.

Devils have also held on to Chris Jones, Jake Morissette, Ben Bowns, Mark Richardson, Joey Martin and Josh Batch.
