Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils were beaten for the second game running as they lost 3-2 to Dundee Stars in south Wales.

Following a scoreless opening period, Josh MacDonald fired Cardiff in front 33 seconds into the second period.

But Zach Tsekos and Cole MacDonald struck in quick succession to put the visitors 2-1 up in the Welsh capital.

Kameron Kielly notched Dundee's third goal in the third period before Reid Duke gave Cardiff hope late on, although the Scots held on for victory.

Cardiff return to action against Nottingham Panthers at the Vindico Arena on Sunday, 5 January (16:00 GMT).

Dundee host Manchester Storm in the Elite League on Saturday, 4 January (19:00 GMT).
