Cardiff Devils claimed an emphatic 6-2 victory over Herlev Eagles to earn their first win of pre-season.

Only 24 hours after losing 4-1 to the Danish side in their summer opener, Devils were much-improved at the Vindico Arena.

Marius Kring cancelled out Hunter Shinkaruk's opener as the impressive Ben Bowns - in for Mac Carruth - thwarted the Eagles on numerous occasions.

Reid Duke restored Devils' lead before a stunning third period saw Josh Batch, Duke, Josh MacDonald and Zach O'Brien all strike to put the game beyond doubt - with Eagles scoring a late consolation from a powerplay.

Devils face Team GB in pre-season on Friday, 23 August (19:00 BST) and kick-start their Elite League campaign against Glasgow Clan on Saturday, 14 September (19:00 BST).
