    Belfast Giants 4-2 Nottingham Panthers

The Giants make it back-to-back victories over the Nottingham Panthers!

Adam Keefe's side made a bright start to the game and broke the deadlock after eight minutes when Pierre-Olivier Morin converted Kyle Osterberg's pass.

However two powerplay goals in the last three minutes of the first period gave the Panthers the lead during the first break.

Tensions started to rise with the Giants levelling the game when Bobo Carpenter fired Josh Roach's effort home before an impressive performance between the posts by Jason Grande denied the home side the lead before the buzzer.

The Giants did retake the lead after the restart though thanks to Ciaran Long's goal in the 47th minute before an empty netter with 11 seconds left secured the vital two points.

    Belfast Giants 3-2 Nottingham Panthers

There have been a few good stops from Jackson Whistle in the last couple of minutes as Nottingham look for another goal.

We're into the final two minutes, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Jason Grande skating to the bench soon so that Nottingham can have an extra-man upfront.

Ciaran Long is left through on goal thanks to a clever pass from Josh Roach and skates forward before sending a strong effort into the back of the net.

It's a sold-out crowd at the SSE Arena tonight and the volume levels would certainly indicate that they are happy with Long's goal!

Not as much action in this period compared to the opening 20 minutes with lots of stoppages so far.
