    Brazil striker Fred has returned to Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk and his compatriot Ismaily is expected to follow him back shortly.

    The two Brazilians were among six South Americans who refused to return to Shakhtar as a result of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

    The club will base themselves in Kiev and play their fixtures in Lviv while the conflict continues.

    Bayern Munich forward and reported Liverpool and Juventus target Xherdan Shaqiri says there is little truth in reports linking him with a move away from the German champions.

    Shaqiri, 22, played 21 times in all competitions last season before scoring three times for Switzerland at the World Cup.

    The Croatian Football Federation confirms it will be looking into claims that Manchester City's Seko Fofana was racially abused during an elite development squad match against HNK Rijeka on Tuesday.

    Youth-team manager Patrick Vieria took his side off the field when Fofana claimed he was targeted by opposition players before being sent off.

    "Fight against racism (and any sort of discrimination) is one of the key components of our president Davor Suker's programme and that is why we will have a good look into this matter," the Croatian Federation said in a statement.

    Everton manager Roberto Martinez reveals he would "love to extend" Romelu Lukaku's stay at the club and expects transfer movement in the coming days.

    The Blues have acquired Gareth Barry from Manchester City, but have no agreement with Chelsea over a permanent deal for Lukaku, who scored 16 goals on loan at Everton last season.

    Big news then that the star of England's Commonwealth Games team Mo Farah will not compete in Glasgow.

    The 31-year-old last raced in America in June but will remain in a training base in Font Romeu to prioritise his recovery from illness.

    "The sickness I had two weeks ago was a big setback for me," he says in a statement. "Training is getting better here in Font Romeu but I need another few weeks to get back to the level I was at in 2012 and 2013."

    Cech, now in his 11th season at the club, played as Chelsea drew 1-1 with Austria's RZ Pellets WAC.

    "One won't be happy. But the Chelsea supporters will be happy and they're more important than players. If supporters have Cech or Courtois they will be happy because they know we're in safe hands," says Mourinho., external
