    Ryan Wilson is awaiting a decision on his Glasgow and Scotland future after being convicted of two counts of assault.

    The Glasgow Warriors forward was fined at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday for assaulting two men, including fellow rugby player Ally Maclay of Glasgow Hawks, in a takeaway shop in October 2013 while dressed as Batman.

    The 25-year-old has been suspended by the Scottish Rugby Union, whose chief executive Mark Dodson said: "There is absolutely no place in the game, on or off the pitch, for the sort of behaviour that has led to criminal proceedings being taken."

    Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended for two matches after being sent-off for kicking Cordoba defender Edimar during Real Madrid's 2-1 win on Saturday.

    The Silverstone-based team had planned to run its 2014 car with some new parts at the four-day test in Spain.

    The British Basketball League are seeking legal advice over a statement from the domestic game's governing body which appears to raise doubts over the continuation of their licence.

    Basketball England has set up a licence review committee to "consider all options" before existing contract arrangements are renewed.

    "BBL is disappointed its governing body put this matter into the public domain, because of the inevitable damage to the sport," said a statement from the league.

    The 29-year-old Senegalese striker has scored 27 times in 66 appearances for Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow since signing from FC Copenhagen in 2012.

    The rangy forward scored 59 goals in 104 games in Denmark and has found the net eight times in his 24 outings for Senegal.

    "I am at a top club so that gives me more strength to be able to work and carry on, to be able to conquer much more in my career," the 24-year-old centre-back said.

    World Rugby chief executive Brett Gosper has said the game's governing body would back any move to stage Six Nations matches beyond traditional heartlands, with America mentioned as a possibility.

    But Six Nations chairman Beaumont said: "If you've got a successful formula, don't change it. It would be a very, very brave man to say 'I'm going to give up a home game and take it to Chicago'."
