  5. Premier League TV deal - Your viewspublished at 11:40 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February 2015

We've been asking you for your positive and negative thoughts on the new Premier league TV deal agreed yesterday.

Here's a selection of what you've been saying on the BBC Sport Facebook, external page:

Scott Rowntree: No reason why they shouldn't drop tickets now. You shouldn't pay more than £20 to go to a game. Just look at the Bundesliga. Cheaper than that and some great football and stadia over there.

Stuart R Moore: Fantastic deal and wait 'til the overseas deal - just think of the tax the deal will give the country - my club Everton do deals for kids for £95 and, I think, £155 for 16-21 season tickets. Also my club does huge amounts for the area, always willing to help but that could be because we are run by a fan!!!

Allan Scott: It's kind of double standards. In one hand Uefa put in place Financial Fair Play rules so the rich clubs can't blow everyone else out the water, yet they allow the Premier League to sell their TV deal for this type of money, ensuring English football blows every other league around the world out the water!!!!

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore has responded to criticism of the deal by saying the league "is not a charity".

Here's a few of your thoughts from the BBC Sport Facebook, external page on the positives and negatives of the new £5.136bn Premier League TV rights deal.

JohnBoy Cunningham: It's all very good saying the new deal means ticket prices should go down. However, ultimately, this deal has to be funded and that means subscriptions are only going to go up. Fans may win on one hand, we will certainly lose on the other.

Dan Boyle: Worth every penny! You don't think so, don't watch it! Easy! Rather watch Premier League than EastEnders and I'll happily pay for it!

Chris Judson: Can only see footballers and agents getting richer, whilst fans stump up rising ticket prices and Sky Sports costs. The grass roots will get very little which is very much underfunded.
