    We all have plenty of ideas about how to improve the England team's prospects, from tweaking the back four to overhauling the youth system. I bet you never thought of making prospective managers learn F1 pit-stops, though.

    But, as our chief football writer Phil McNulty explains, that's just one of the ways that the FA are putting aspiring coaches through their paces at the National Football Centre at St George's Park.

    It's as you were for the top six in Fifa's latest women's football world rankings,, external with Germany still the number one nation.

    England remain in sixth place but narrowed the gap to fifth-placed Sweden with victory over Canada in the Cyprus Cup earlier this month.

    The Women's World Cup takes place in Canada this summer, with the first game on 6 June, and you'll be able to watch every match on the BBC.

    He's been under the cosh at Manchester United, but striker Radamel Falcao was back to his goalscoring best when Colombia took on Bahrain last night.

    He scored twice in four first-half minutes to help his side to a comfortable 6-0 win in the international friendly.

    Like his United team-mate Wayne Rooney, Falcao is now within sight of his national team's goalscoring record - in his case he's just one shy of Arnoldo Iguaran's tally of 24.

    "Defending World medley champions Amy Marren, Ollie Hynd, Sascha Kindred and Ellie Simmonds will all be bidding to get the qualification times to put them in contention for a place on the team for the IPC World Championships back here in Tollcross in July.

    "Bethany Firth will be chasing another world record in the SM14 medley."

    A little bit of transfer news to bring this morning (I know, this early?) and it involves Yann M'Vila, the French midfielder once held up as a potential savour of Tottenham Hotspur.

    He's off to Dynamo Moscow, according to French sports newspaper L'Equipe,, external where he'll join up with compatriot Mathieu Valbuena.

    M'Vila, 24, signed for Russian club Rubin Kazan in 2013, and spent the first half of this season on loan at Inter Milan.

    Asked whether he would consider switching allegiances to the Republic of Ireland, the former England Under-21 captain said: "No, to be honest. I have played for England at all junior levels so I don't have it in me to change.

    "I have lots of Irish friends and family but having played for England at all levels, that is my decision."

    BBC Sport's Shamoon Hafez: England play Lithuania tonight in their Euro 2016 qualifier, and despite numerous withdrawals, West Ham's Mark Noble is still awaiting a phone-call from manager Roy Hodgson.

    "Everyone has opinions and Roy obviously doesn't think I am good enough to play. Simple as that," the midfielder said at a Lycamobile event with the West Ham Foundation.

    "There are a lot of top midfielders in the league and he thinks they are better players than me. There is no other way around it otherwise I would be in the squad."

    Now this is a headline you don't see in Sportsday every day. BBC Sport journalist Stephan Shemilt has inadvertently shot to global renown after accidentally asking Australia cricket captain Michael Clarke about his sex life in a World Cup press conference.

    "You've had tremendous sex as Australia captain," Shemilt begins blithely before hastily, but not quite hastily enough, correcting himself to 'success'.

    It's fair to say his mistake hasn't gone unnoticed by the world's media. Australian site Adelaide Now was particularly cruel,, external commenting: "Their cricket side was a joke during the group stage and now England's journalists are bringing the laughs to the World Cup finals."

    There's an interesting line on the back page of Barcelona-based daily Sport, which reports that Barca midfielder Xavi could be set for a move to Qatari side Al-Sadd.

    The 35-year-old "travelled to Doha with his family to seal the deal", according to the paper, which also suggests that full-back Dani Alves could be on the move to Paris St-Germain.

    French sports daily L'Equipe leads on France's friendly defeat to Brazil in Paris last night.

    Raphael Varane gave France the lead but goals from Oscar, Neymar and Luiz Gustavo gave Brazil a 3-1 win.

    "Les Bleus were outdone by the skill of the solid and determined Brazilians," the paper comments, adding that their first defeat since the 2014 World Cup "sounds a warning".

    Premier League clubs have agreed to share £1bn from the record TV deal with the rest of the English football pyramid.

    Lower league sides and grass-roots football stand to benefit, while clubs have also pledged to pay all staff the living wage by the start of the 2016-17 season.

    In case you needed reminding, those rights sold for a whopping £5.1bn last month.
