Former world number one Tiger Woods has written to a young fan being bullied because of his stutter, saying "I know what it is like to be different".

The 39-year-old American revealed to the teenager, called Dillon, that he too had a stutter as a child.

Woods said he was "proud" of the boy and urged him to keep fighting. "I know what it's like to be different and to sometimes not fit in," wrote Woods.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has welcomed the prospect of facing rivals Real Madrid for the first time in a Champions League final.

Jenni in Newtownards: What I don't understand is that Strauss and the ECB label Kevin Pietersen as being toxic and having no place in the England playing setup due to the negative impact he has on the squad. Yet, they offered him an advisory role with the T20 and One Day international squads? That just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. The whole situation juat smacks of Andrew Strauss' personal dislike of KP; nothing more, nothing less.

This whole circus revolves around the issue of trust and the lack of it between KP and the ECB management structure. But what does Pietersen go and do, he tells the world that he, Strauss and the ECB are going to have a 'private' meeting on the eve of Strauss' first press conference to talk about him England future. Way to show that you can be trusted KP!

Former Birmingham chairman Carson Yeung has lost an appeal against his conviction for money laundering.

Yeung was jailed for six years in March 2014 after being found guilty of five counts of money laundering between 2001 and 2007.
