Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has warned Pep Guardiola that the biggest challenge he will face in the Premier League is the busy fixture schedule.

Guardiola, 44, who will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, has said he plans to work in England next.

Klopp, 48, said that the number of domestic cup games had surprised him.

"When I came here, I didn't know there were two rounds [legs] in the semi-final of the Capital One Cup," said the former Borussia Dortmund manager.

It's a worry given the third Test between South Africa and England gets under way on Thursday.

Finally, and maybe slightly weirdly, Wenger is asked for his thoughts on David Bowie, who has died at the age of 69.

“I’m a fan of his music," says the Arsenal manager. "The message he gave to my generation was important."

And with that, he is off. News conference over.

    'We can win'published at 09:52

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace (Tues, 19:45 GMT)

It seems like an age ago now with such a busy festive period of football, but Remi Garde is hoping his Villa side can recapture the hustle of their Boxing Day draw against West Ham.

"We would like to put the same intensity in against Palace as we did against West Ham," says Garde.

"If you look at the West Ham game, we were close to winning. Everyone gave 100% on the field.

"Palace are doing very well. They have a lot of confidence. It will be a tough game. But we have the possibility to win this game."

It will be an intriguing battle between Jurgen Klopp's high-intensity Liverpool and Wenger's freeflowing Arsenal - but the Gunners gaffer says he is ready for the challenge.

"We are used to that pressing. It is part of the modern game," says Wenger.

The boss is then asked about who will win the Ballon d'Or - Messi, Ronaldo or Neymar, though he doesn't seem too interested.

"I'm not a big fan of this award," he responds. "It will be Messi. Barcelona won everything." That sorts that then.

This will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans - Wenger is expecting to be busy in the January transfer window, and new faces look like arriving sooner rather than later.

"We hope to have things done this week. I'm optimistic about the case," says the boss.

"I believe many clubs will be active. It could be one of the most active windows ever."

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace (Tues, 19:45 GMT)

Things have got crisis-meeting bad at Villa with chief exec Tom Fox flying to New York today to meet owner Randy Lerner.

"I knew about the meeting," says Garde. "It was arranged a week before.

"They know exactly what I wish. They know the way I would like to change. They know the situation of the team.

"I knew it would be difficult. I love the club. I am very honest."

A bit of injury talk from the boss next, not surprising given how many injuries the Gunners have.

The main news is that Alexis Sanchez will not be fit for Wednesday's game. "It is too soon, but maybe he will be fit for Sunday (away at Stoke)," says Wenger.

Aston Villa v Crystal Palace (Tues, 19:45 GMT)

Aston Villa's draw away at Wycombe is the first topic of discussion for boss Remi Garde and hetells Villa fans he feels their pain.

"I repeat what I said after the game - I understand completely the frustration of the fans," says Garde.

"It's unfortunately not a new situation for Aston Villa.

"We have to find a solution to get through that."

Straight away he's asked about the weekend win over Sunderland - 3-1 for those who've forgotten, helping the Gunners remain on course in their attempts to become the first team since the 1800s to win the FA Cup for a third successive year.

“It was important to win and not break that consistency," says the boss.

Crystal Palace face bottom club Aston Villa tomorrow and Eagles assistant boss Keith Millen wants to inflict more pain on Villa.

"We can't give Villa any encouragement," says Millen. "We've been there so we know what the pressure's like.

"They'll be looking for something to cling on to, the first goal to get the crowd going and get their confidence up."

We've not forgotten about Arsene Wenger by the way, we're just waiting for the man himself to arrive.

Some more quotes from Crystal Palace assistant boss Keith Millen, who has called for a greater threat up front from his side. The Eagles have only scored six times in their last seven matches.

"We need our attacking players back," says Millen. "It was good for Wilfried Zaha to score (against Southampton), but we need more people to score goals."

Crystal Palace assistant manager Keith Millen has taken his place in front of the assembled media.

"We've got a couple of knocks, so we'll have to see how they are this morning. We'll assess a couple of lads," says Millen.

"It was good to see Bakary Sako fit and available. Connor Wickham is back in training but not match fit.

"Yannick Bolasie is definitely not fit, Dwight Gayle certainly not still. Wickham's trained, but has had no match time. He's over his injury."

What were you doing at the age of 22?

Personally I was finishing a university dissertation about French politics in the 17th century and working part-time in the butcher's department of a supermarket.

Jordan Spieth, however, is a very different beast.

The American matched Tiger Woods by winning his seventh PGA Tour event before the age of 23 with a dominant victory at Hawaii's Tournament of Champions.

The 22 year old- who won the Masters and US Open last year - cruised to an eight-shot win over Patrick Reed after a six-under-par 67 at the Kapalua Resort on the island of Maui.

Over at White Hart Lane, Harry Kane's controversial late penalty kept Tottenham in the Cup as the striker's equaliser earned a third-round replay against Leicester.

Kane scored from the spot after Nathan Dyer had been penalised for handball, to the visitors' anger.

It's fair to say BBC pundits Alan Shearer and Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill didn't agree with the decision..

"I think that's a very poor decision - it's not a penalty at all," said Shearer, while O'Neill added: "I agree with Alan, it's a very harsh penalty - Nathan Dyer has just turned round and doesn't know where the ball is. Doesn't it have to be deliberate?"

    Spurs fans aren't complaining though...
