    Robert Huth scores

Leicester City continue to defy the expectations of the mass media and plough on. Are they in a title race? I'm not entirely sure that will last but the quest for Champions League qualification is well on course.

The key is the eight-point gap to fifth place West Ham. Claudio Ranieri's side have Aston Villa, Stoke and then Liverpool, followed by two huge games against Manchester City and Arsenal.

This season is one that simply must be enjoyed by Foxes fans. It's a dream come true. Please don't wake them up just yet.

  2. Get Involved - who will win the Premier League?

    #bbcsportsday

With 10 minutes to go in Wednesday's games, Arsenal were heading for a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League. They ended up level on points with Leicester.

It's so hard to predict what's going to happen next but we want you to have a go. Against all the odds, can Leicester do it? Will Arsenal stay the course or wilt under pressure again? Will Manchester City come through for their third title in five seasons. Can anyone else make a charge?

Tell us who is going to win the title and why. Tweet #bbcsportsday or visit the BBC Sport Facebook page.

  3. Wada doping report to be published

    Athletics

The Associated Press is reporting that the second part of the Wada independent report will conclude that "corruption was embedded" in the IAAF and "cannot be blamed on a small number of miscreants".

AP say that the report will state that former IAAF president Lamine Diack told a lawyer he'd need to agree a deal with Russian president Vladimir Putin to ensure nine Russian athletes accused of doping wouldn't compete at 2013 World Championships in Moscow,

The 89-page investigation is due to be published at 14:00 GMT and we will bring you full coverage when its contents are revealed.

  4. Wada doping report to be published

    Athletics

It's a big day for athletics with a World Anti-Doping Authority (Wada) independent report expected to reveal details of governing body the IAAF's alleged complicity in covering up doping in the sport.

The first part of the report, published in November, led to Russia's athletes being banned from international competition because of "state-sponsored doping".

  5. Happy birthday

    Football

    Victor Valdes

Among those celebrating on Thursday are Manchester United’s forgotten goalkeeper Victor Valdes (34), Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye (30), Norwich midfielder Robbie Brady (24) and former Norwich, Newcastle and Tottenham winger Ruel Fox (48).

  6. Football Daily Podcast

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri joins Mark Pougatch, Danny Mills and Steve Claridge at full-time after a 1-0 win at Spurs that puts the Foxes level on points with Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.

With Ranieri's side now eight points clear of West Ham in fifth, Mills and Claridge believe the team would now be "devastated" should they not qualify for the Champions League next season.

  7. McClean earns Baggies a point at Chelsea

West Brom draw, wins for Stoke & Saints

In Wednesday's other games, James McClean's late equaliser earned West Brom a 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

Stoke Citymoved up to seventh in league as three second-half goals gave them a 3-1 win over a Norwich side which played over an hour with 10 men after Gary O'Neil was sent off.

Goals from Shane Long and Dusan Tadic earned Southampton only their second league win in nine games as they beat Watford 2-0 at St Mary's.

  8. Allardyce heralds 'enormous, enormous' win

    Swansea City 2-4 Sunderland

    Jermain Defoe

Sunderland won an "enormous, enormous" three points as they overcame fellow relegation strugglers Swansea, according to manager Sam Allardyce.

The 4-2 victory against 10 men moved the Black Cats to within a point of the Welsh side, who are 17th in the table.

"It's an unbelievable win to give us hope," said Allardyce, who suggested that his side took advantage of controversial refereeing decisions.

Jermain Defoe scored a hat-trick - with all three goals marginal offside calls - while Swansea right-back Kyle Naughton was harshly sent off.

  9. Sterling denied last-minute penalty

    Manchester City 0-0 Everton

Manchester City missed the chance to make up ground in the Premier League title race as they were held to a goalless draw by Everton.

However, City - and Raheem Sterling in particular - were very unlucky not to be awarded a stoppage-time penalty for a foul by John Stones.

    Tottenham 0-1 Leicester City

    Leicester celebrate

Are Leicester not supposed to have fallen away by now? Apparently not.

Robert Huth's late winner earned Claudio Ranieri's side a splendid win against top-four rivals Tottenham to move level on points with leaders Arsenal.

It was the second of three meetings between the clubs in 10 days, following Sunday's 2-2 FA Cup draw - with their replay to be shown on BBC One, next Wednesday.

  11. Allen denies Arsenal at the end

    Liverpool 3-3 Arsenal

There are not many dull Liverpool-Arsenal games.

It was end-to-end at Anfield on Wednesday with four goals in the opening 25 minutes and Joe Allen striking in the last minute to deny leaders Arsenal victory.

Roberto Firmino and Olivier Giroud both scored twice with Aaron Ramsey the other Gunner on target. Giroud also missed an open goal in the first half, while Firmino struck the bar.

Arsenal still top the Premier League but now only on goal difference.
