Newcastle v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Victor Moses

Andy Carroll is far from the only injury worry for West Ham but Slaven Bilic has some positive news on a trio of recent other casualties.

"Victor Moses started to train with the team the day before Bournemouth, so he's available," says Bilic

"Cheikhou Kouyate missed the game against Bournemouth, he was at about 85% so we rested him a little bit.

"Mauro Zarate also, he felt a bit before the Bournemouth game, but it was just kind of a cramp so he's training today."

Newcastle v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Slaven Bilic

West Ham are unbeaten in eight Premier League games, a run that has taken them to fifth and Slaven Bilic is not putting a limit on his side's ambitions.

"We want to continue the unbeaten run," says Bilic. "First of all you are motivated enough with the Premier League.

"We're playing well and want to continue looking up the table."

  7. West Ham news conference

Newcastle v West Ham (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

    Andy Carroll

Slaven Bilic starts by discussing Andy Carroll after the striker lasted just 12 minutes of the 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Tuesday before going off with an apparent hamstring injury.

"Andy Carroll has a scan today at 10.30, so we will wait for that," says Bilic. "It's his hamstring, it's something in between a big and little one."

"Of course we will be cautious, and it is a blow for us because he was looking really sharp. He'll be back soon and he won't lose much.

"If everything goes well he will be back very soon so there is no reason to be negative."

  16. Haye wants world title belief

    Boxing

    David Haye

Could it be one and done for David Haye?

The British boxer says his comeback could last only one fight if his efforts do not give him the confidence needed to become a world champion again.

Haye, 35, faces Australia's Mark de Mori on Saturday in his first fight for three-and-a-half years.

He said: "I'm not going to do this if I don't believe I can win that title."

  17. Bolton complain about Sheffield Wednesday

    Football

    Simon Stone

    BBC Sport

Bolton have contacted the Football League about the conduct of fellow Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in transfer talks over Mark Davies.

Financially struggling Bolton cut Davies' price to resolve an issue over wages and thought a deal had been done.

With the player set for a medical on Thursday, he was pulled out of Tuesday's league meeting between the two clubs, which Wednesday won 3-2.

However, the transfer was put on hold over an undisclosed development.

Bolton then complained to the Football League, although the two clubs are believed to be back in negotiations and the midfielder's transfer could yet go through.

  18. Release performance date - Brailsford

    Cycling

While athletics braces itself for the second part of a World Anti-Doping Authority (Wada) independent report into alleged complicity in covering up doping in the sport, Sir Dave Brailsford has called for more transparency in cycling.

The Team Sky boss has told other teams to follow their example and release performance data of leading riders.

Sky's two-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome (pictured) published physiological test results after being dogged by doping speculation during his 2015 win.

The results suggested he was capable of his performances without cheating.

Broady, ranked 112th, was seeking a first appearance in the main draw in Melbourne but struggled with her ball toss and serve throughout.
