Roger Black, the 1996 Olympic 400m silver medallist, says Lord Coe is the right man for the job but admits he has questions to answer.
"Wada chairman Dick Pound endorsed Seb Coe is a contradiction as the report says anyone involved must have had at least an inkling of what was going on and that must include Coe," said Black.
"We're British so there is a degree of bias here but who else would do this job?
"The sport is in an absolute mess though and it has to be done rigorously and properly to turn it round and it's going to take a long time.
"I can't think of a better person to do the job than Seb Coe though - he's got the respect, the political nous and understanding of the sport."
