"James Morrison is injured and won't be fit for Southampton," said Pulis. "We will have to have a look at Jonas Olsson too.

"Rickie Lambert missed the Chelsea trip through illness. He will be back in contention for the game against Southampton tomorrow."

Bournemouth have been one of the most active clubs in the transfer window this month, signing strikers Benik Afobe and Lewis Grabban.

"It's nice to have done early business but it's all relative," says Howe. "We're trying to ensure we have enough strength in depth.

"The squad looks in better shape now I believe, we've got players that can really make a difference."

"The window is a lot crammed into one month and puts pressure on managers. I wouldn't say you enjoy it!"

Bournemouth host Norwich this weekend, with both sides looking to distance themselves from the relegation zone, a place Eddie Howe is keen to avoid.

"We're pleased we're out of the bottom three, that's where we have to stay," he says. "But we could do better, we're a work in progress.

"I felt the last time against Norwich where we lost 3-1 we didn't perform to our standard. We'd like to put that right, we've had some games with them.

"A win would be really important for us. Our home form has been patchy so we want to start a consistent run."
