    Reece Topley

Left-arm paceman Reece Topley aims to use England's limited-overs series in South Africa as a means to seal a place in the squad for the World T20, which takes place in India in March.

"It would be a massive honour to represent your country at a world cup," the 21-year-old said.

"You never know how many times you're going to pull on an England shirt. I think that's the way to be, staying level-headed and never taking a game or a tour for granted."

    #HonestAboutExercise

It's that time of year when many of us are trying to improve our exercise habits. Social media and the press are bursting with "inspirational" images and stories of fitness for us to aspire to.

But do these posts and articles really inspired you? Or can they sometimes promote extremes which are largely unattainable for the average healthy person?

To get away from any such unrealistic fitness targets, BBC Get Inspired has asked some familiar Scottish faces to lift the lid on their exercise habits.

    Carol Smillie gets #HonestAboutExercise

We'll be revealing them here all this week but see television presenter Carol Smillie being honest about her "abysmal" habits here to start with.

    Leigh Halfpenny

Toulon head coach Bernard Laporte expects Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny to sign a one-year extension with the French club.

Halfpenny's current deal runs out in the summer and Cardiff Blues and Wasps have been linked with the 27-year-old.

"He's staying at Toulon. I don't know when he will sign but it should happen," Laporte said. "He's a good lad, you need some like him in a club."

A good lad? Surely that's not a popular saying in France?

Juventus were "taking too many thing for granted" early in the season before winning 10 Serie A games in a row to go second, boss Massimiliano Allegri said.

The Turin side, who are chasing their fifth consecutive title, beat Udinese 4-0 on Sunday to move within two points of leaders Napoli.

They were 12th, 11 points off top, when they lost 2-1 to Sassuolo on 28 October - the last time they failed to win.

"The players were not playing at the level they are now," Allegri said.

    Erik Sviatchenko

Sportsday suspects our colleagues up the road are going to enjoy dealing with new Celtic signing Erik Sviatchenko. He seems a right good talker..

“It means a lot," he said after his £1.5m move from Midtjylland. "It means I’m finally away from Denmark. It has been a tough wait for me. When Celtic came in for me, I felt this was a very good decision. This is a winning club.

“The fans can expect someone who will give everything, who will connect with them. I walked around Celtic Park and had goosebumps. I could have gone to Italy and the Championship and, last year, to the Premier League but when this opportunity came along I was so happy we could connect the dots."

Team news now from Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri.

"Matty James has played 45 minutes with the reserves and could come with us on the bench. Jeffrey Schlupp, maybe will have to wait until the end of February. Everyone else is okay.

"Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray played well in the last cup game and I think they will play well at King Power Stadium as well. For Chilwell it’s important to play. I believe in him and I’m sure during the season he will have more chances."
