Chelsea
Ross Mooring from ChelseaFancast.com, external:
"Marcos Alonso is a bit of an underwhelming if solid signing at left-back, but Chelsea need bodies in defence and fans will hope he can do a better job than Baba Rahman did last year filling in for Cesar Azipilicueta.
"Alonso is of course the entrée to David Luiz's main course, which will probably be the most hair-raising deal for me since Jose sold Juan Mata to United."
Juan Cuadrado helped Juventus win the Serie A title last season - now he has returned to Turin.
Juve's website says he has signed on a temporary deal...until 2019. Sounds quite permanent to me. We'll clear that up when we hear more.

French club Lorient have some money to spend after Sunderland splashed the cash on their young Gabonese midfielder Didier Ndong.
Ironically some of it might be going back to the north-east, to Sunderland’s arch rivals Newcastle.
The French media are linking Cheick Tiote with a loan move to Lorient.
Tiote has also been linked to Anzhi and Galatasaray.
West Bromwich Albion
West Brom fan Mark Thomas, from www.albiontillwedie.co.uk:, external
"It's turning into something of a demoralising transfer deadline day for Albion fans. We've gone from looking to sign the likes of Slimani, Carvalho and Camacho to snapping up an out of favour Watford defender and a free agent released by a Championship club.
"With time running out it's starting to look less and less likely that Baggies' boss Tony Pulis will bring in the four or five quality players he insisted he needed. On the outgoing side of things it appears Saido Berahino will remain at The Hawthorns, again something that won't go down too well with the Albion support."

David Simpson: With Bony and Martins Indi, Stoke have just become even harder to play against.
Paul Burgwin: Massive tailbacks on M5, M6 & M42 stopping Albion signing Galacticos.
The Potters have signed bulky striker Wilfried Bony and equally physically-imposing defender Bruno Martins Indi. Brute force.
Chelsea
