Well, that is that. Good luck Moyesie.

David Moyes
West Ham manager
"I've not confirmed the backroom team - maybe by the end of the week."
David Moyes
West Ham manager
"I think Big Sam [Allardyce] said 'what is the West Ham way?'. First, let's get a winning formula. If I can win attacking and entertaining then that's the way I want my teams to play. But first I just want the team to win."
David Moyes
West Ham manager
"There are so many avenues to voice your opinion. You won't get everyone on your side. Get the supporters behind the team with the results. You also need the players to perform.
"I'm just back from India and watched the England Under-17s. There has to be a way forward for young players to get through. The squads in the Premier League are over-cluttered and maybe ours too. I'm not one to judge the squad at the moment - maybe in a month's time.
"My best attribute is on the grass - training the players. But the players have to show it.
"Maybe I've seen franticness in trying to show the manager what they can do."
David Moyes
West Ham manager
Will you give the fans the football they crave?
First it's about winning football game, then it's about the style.
David Moyes
West Ham manager
"I want to get back as West Ham is any good as any team.
"This was a really easy decision to make. West Ham are a top club and it's a great stadium. We will grow into it.
"My ambition is short term. I have to win the games.
"I have a point to prove.
"I want the football to be entertaining. But I want to start defensively. We have to start there and get some clean-sheets.
David Moyes
West Ham manager
"For me I didn't do enough due diligence on Sunderland. Preston was very good then everyone knows about Everton. I got the chance at Manchester United which is well documented. I had a great time in Spain. I came back and made a poor choice in the club I chose."
David Moyes
West Ham manager
"There's a really strong squad of players here. They certainly shouldn't be in the position they should be. Slaven Bilic is my friend. I thought what Slaven did was very good."
David Moyes
West Ham manager
"Contacted at the weekend. I was in Qatar I said yes very quickly. There were a couple of quick meetings then I find myself here.
"I'm back in and it's what I love doing. I want to do well and want the team to do well. It's good for West Ham."
He's here..... in resplendent charcoal black.
Everyone had a good week so far?

David Jones: When Mark Hughes got the Stoke job he was under a cloud after bad luck/bad choices at Man City, Fulham & QPR but he shook it off and did a good job. If #Moyes, external rediscovers his old Everton strengths #WestHam, external will benefit, but it needs a positive attitude from everyone.
Good use of 280.
He's four minutes late.
But the top table is clear after a West Ham employee spent a few minutes testing the mics.
Quote MessageThis would be, in all likelihood, his last chance at a club of West Ham's stature. It is also a shot at redemption - and that may just ignite the spark which appears to have been snuffed out in recent years.

gumbo74: Problem not the manager but the board. Moyes will get the fans backing but will he get the boards? From iconic stadium to tenants. Progress?
Wouldn't a good manager do a good job with that squad?

David Moyes will start his West Ham tenure with games against Watford, Leicester - his first home game - and former club Everton.
They could all be regarded as winnable - loseable.
For Moyes' sake, it needs to be the former, because after that comes a trip to Premier League leaders Manchester City, then encounters with Chelsea and Arsenal.

Waiting at the London Stadium for David Moyes to make his entrance.
Moyes tends not to feel comfortable in front of the cameras but in the modern era, it helps if you can come out with a soundbite or two.
However, after his previous experience at Manchester United, I am fairly sure he won't be wanting to be known as The Chosen One again.
