Men's Euros delayed to 2021
It's time to bring this live page to a close. It has been quite a day.
The BIG news is that the men's Euro 2020 Championship has been postponed by one year. More on that here.
The tournament is now due to take place from 11 June to 11 July 2021. More information from Uefa has come out too. Here's a breakdown:
- Copa America postponed.
- March's friendly internationals and Euro 2020 play-offs moved to June.
- Decisions on Women's Euro 2021 and all men's and women's Euro competitions to be taken in due course (reportedly in the summer).
- Reports the Champions League and Europa League finals will be delayed by a month.
- FA support Uefa postponements
- Championship clubs will hold conference call later today. EFL Board to meet on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the International Olympic Committee say they remain "fully committed" to the Tokyo Olympics and there is "no need for any drastic decisions."
Also today:
Athletics - Diamond League postpones first three meetings of the 2020 season. All athletics activity in England, Scotland and Wales suspended.
Football - National League club Barnet have placed non-playing staff on notice in "emergency measures to preserve club."
Tennis - The French Open at Roland Garros has been postponed until September.
Cricket - England cricketer Alex Hales is in self-isolation after developing symptoms. ECB to meet on Thursday to look at possible rescheduling of the cricket summer. Pakistan Super League is postponed.
Diving - Fina Diving World Series finale postponed.
Equestrian - British Eventing cancels all fixtures with immediate effect.
Horse racing - Racing from Wednesday in Great Britain suspended until end of April. Kentucky Derby rescheduled.
MMA - Next three fights postponed.
Snooker - World Snooker postpones the Coral Tour Championship.
Speedway - British speedway season suspended.
Surfing - World Surf League cancels or postpones all events until at least the end of May.
Boxing - All British boxing events cancelled until the start of April. Anthony Joshua fight moved to July.
Darts - PDC Development Tour events and Players Championship weekend postponed.
Gymnastics - Women's European Championships and men's event in Baku cancelled.
Trampoline - European Trampoline Championships called off.
