The first leg will take place in Djokovic's hometown of Belgrade on 13 and 14 June.

"I'll do everything in my power to be a good host," said the world number one.

Three-time world champion Mark Selby hopes the return of snooker next week could attract a new audience to the sport.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced a widespread sporting shutdown, but snooker is set to be among the first major sports to return with a 64-player event behind closed doors in Milton Keynes.

The Championship League, featuring world champion Judd Trump and Ronnie O'Sullivan, will be on free-to-air television from June 1-11.

All players and commentators must be tested before the event and strict social distancing measures will be in place.

"It is great for everyone who follows the game," Selby told World Snooker Tour.

"The German football Bundesliga has been going, so that is the first sport back, but us being the second one is massive for snooker,"

"I think we could attract a lot of new followers as well. People are sitting at home, crying out for sport to be on TV."

Amber Barrett says her FC Koln team has gone "from 0 to 60mph in a week" as it prepares for Friday's Women's Bundesliga resumption.

Koln face leaders Wolfsburg in the first of eight games in five weeks after a three-month Covid-19 break and with just over a week of full training.

"It will be tough on the body - that's the main concern for every team," said the Republic of Ireland striker.

"But everyone's in the same boat and we're going to take it head on.

"It just happened overnight - we heard we were going to get back into training and within 24 hours we were back and it was great to see everyone again," the 24-year-old told BBC Radio Foyle.

  4. I feel like I am coming into my own form - Ingspublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 26 May 2020

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Southampton striker Danny Ings has been talking about returning to training amid the coronavirus pandemic and also discussed his goalscoring form before the season was stoppped.

He told BBC Radio 5 live: “Going into the training ground, it took a day or two to adapt to all the precautions and the measures that are in place. All the lads are adapting to it now and we are getting some good work done.

“I was pretty calm, I was talking to the physios and doctors and they were filling me in on the protocols that were in place. For me personally, I feel safe going into training. It is very difficult with everything that is going on but with the government giving us the green light to get the organisation going in the safest and most respectful way possible, everything that is in place seemed to be OK so far.

“I have really pushed myself this season and it is great to be on a goalscoring run. It has been my favourite season I have had as a footballer overcoming a lot of stuff from previous years and really feel like I am coming into my own form at the moment. The goals are going in and I am happy."

Reading's first-team players are to defer "a substantial percentage" of their wages for three months to help the club deal with the financial fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.

Manager Mark Bowen agreed to a similar salary deferral in April.

"This was the least we could do as we all try to get through the challenges that the coming weeks and months present," said captain Liam Moore.

Rashford was due to miss the rest of the season after a back operation in January while Pogba had a foot injury, but with both men now in group training ahead of Project Restart, Solskjaer has delivered positive news.

"They're looking good, they've joined training now and they've done everything the other boys have been doing. No reaction so far, touch wood," he told MUTV. "When we get started, it looks like we can have a full squad to choose from."

  8. Teddy warns Harry...published at 14:32 British Summer Time 26 May 2020

Former Tottenham striker Teddy Sheringham has told Harry Kane to make sure he does not waste his career. Kane's future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks after he suggested that he would leave Spurs if he could not see clear signs of progress.

The England captain has been linked with a move to Manchester United - though the north London club have no intention of selling their star man - while Barcelona are also reported to have shown interest.

"At the moment, I would say his career at Tottenham - I know they haven't won anything - but his career has been going steadily forward. "I think it might be at a crossroads," Sheringham told Sky Sports.

"If they haven't won anything or they don't look like they are going forwards, then there could be changes. "Harry has only got one career and he wants to win things. My advice would be 'you only get one career, Harry, make sure you make the most of it'."

  10. Leganes and Espanyol offer free season tickets to compensate fanspublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 26 May 2020

    EspanyolImage source, Getty Images

Fans of La Liga sides Espanyol and Leganes with season tickets for the current campaign will be given free passes for the entire 2020-2021 campaign to compensate for missing matches because of coronavirus.

The Spanish top-flight is set to resume next month, potentially on 11 June, with 11 rounds of matches remaining but, as in Germany's Bundesliga, matches will be behind closed doors.

It is unclear when fans will be able to return to stadiums, with medical experts saying mass gatherings should be avoided until there is a vaccine, which is unlikely to be available until 2021.

Espanyol and Leganes are 20th and 19th in La Liga respectively so both could be relegated to the second tier.

Barcelona side Espanyol said in addition to offering its 27,833 season ticket holders free 2020-2021 passes, they would also reimburse 20% of the value of their current season ticket.

Earlier this month, Getafe became the first La Liga club to offer season ticket holders free passes for next season.

    Iain Carter
    BBC Sport golf correspondent

Tiger Woods is fit and firing, Phil Mickelson is a born entertainer and two legendary NFL quarterbacks can play half-decent golf.

Furthermore, Justin Thomas will have a big future in broadcasting if he ever needs it.

Despite prolonged Floridian downpours that threatened golf's second comeback event, there was much to enjoy from a contest that pitted Woods and Peyton Manning against Mickelson and Tom Brady in the The Match (2).

A total of $20m (£16.4m) was raised for Covid-19-related charities as Sunday's event proved far more worthwhile than its grubby forerunner, when Mickelson beat Woods to pocket $9m in November 2018.
