    Cutts and Porter aren't the only athletes in town, though. Olympic champion Sally Pearson and Jamaica's Nesta Carter are probably two of the biggest world stars who will be zooming down the track at full throttle this evening.

    Pearson will attempt to defend her 60m hurdles title while Carter, the fifth fastest man of all time over 100m, will be hoping to improve on the silver he won in Istanbul two years ago.

    There are 11 gold medals to be won this evening and there could be British athletes standing on the podium by the time the day is done. Sheffield pole vaulter Luke Cutts and Tiffany Porter, silver medallist in the 60m hurdles two years ago, are probably Britain's strongest contenders, although veteran sprinter Dwain Chambers could roll back the years in the men's 60m.

Apparently there's "enchanting scenery", external, sandy beaches and greenery covering 60% of the town so, if a comparison is needed, it's pretty similar to Manchester.
