  6. Men's high jump finalpublished at 16:54 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2014

There's still a glitch preventing the women's 4x400m relay from starting so let's turn our attention on the men's high jump final where Russia's Ivan Ukhov has cleared 2.38m with his final attempt at that height. Both he and Mutaz Essa Barshim have now cleared 2.38m.

British long jump silver medallist Katarina Johnson-Thompson: "It feels incredible. I came here with no expectations. I liked to have been in the pentathlon - I can't believe I won my first senior medal in an event that's not my own.

"The long jump is my strongest event in the pentathlon. I was winning at one point, but France's Eloyse Lesueur was the best. I couldn't respond to her 6.85m. I'm still very much a pentathlete-heptathlete. The heptathlon is what I want to concentrate on in the summer. The Commonwealth Games is my main focus and hopefully I'll do the long jump or high jump at the Europeans."

Briton Andrew Osagie, who was fourth in the 800m: "I stayed back a little bit. There were no real front-runners. I thought I had it right. In the last lap I got the wrong line. I think one of the Poles [Lewandowski] stepped on the outside of the curve. Today wasn't one of my best. I could have done better. I take a lot of heart making another final."

  13. Men's high jump finalpublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2014

Three men - Mutaz Essa Barshim, Ivan Ukhov and Erik Kynard - have cleared 2.34m in the men's high jump so the competition is bubbling up nicely and unfolding as the bookmakers would have predicted. Russia's Dani Tsyplakov and Ukraine's Andriy Protsenko are still in contention, too.

"It's a really strong event but Andrew [Osagie] has been improving as the season has gone on and is capable of winning a medal."
