I wonder whether something has happened to Manuela.

She hasn't picked up her pace. I wonder whether she's not feeling like she's having a good day.

It's an interesting situation to let someone go like this.

There are four sprints spread over the course of the wheelchair race.

The women enter their final one and Nikita Den Boer seems to be the only one going for it as Manuela Shar falls back.

We're surely heading for another sprint finish in the men's race.

There is a pack of six athletes out in front and the pace has slowed right down again with three and a half laps to go. Britain's David Weir, Switzerland's Marcel Hug and Canada's Brent Lakatos are all looking good.

There are a few nods to the NHS around the course. As well as this, the flower beds in front of Buckingham Palace have been designed to look like the NHS logo.

There's a bit of a showdown in the men's race.

Canada's Brent Lakatos refuses to take the tough job of being at the front anymore.

He moves to the side and looks behind him, where the rest of the six-strong pack swiftly avoids eye contact.

Eventually Marcel Hug surges forward with four laps to go. Awks.

It may be blustery, rainy and cold but there are just so many great reasons to run.

Nikita Den Boer is still going really strong in the women's race.

The Dutch athlete is on track for a huge personal best. This was supposed to basically be a solo time-trial for Manuela Shar but the pair are still neck and neck.

It's not been standard marathon conditions this year, as you'd expect with it being delayed by six months.

Britain's Lily Partridge dropped out before the end of the elite women's race and has explained why on Instagram:

She wrote: "Just wanted to come on to say thank you to everyone for the well wishes and messages of concern. I'm honestly okay. I just didn't cope in the conditions.

"All my years of cross-country didn't help clearly. Being cold for 15 minutes is one thing but I have never ever been so cold out running in all my life.

"I started cramping around 16 and tried to back up to relieve it but by 20 miles my hamstrings and calves felt like someone had hold of them."

Because this is pretty much the only marathon the athletes will be able to do this year, they will want a quick time.

Switzerland's Heinz Frei has just made it through the halfway stage.

He is 62 years old, has won 100 marathons and competed at nine Paralympics.

So all in all, a pretty impressive guy.

There are four sprints to compete for as well as the overall race.

Canada's Brent Lakatos flies ahead in the second of these. That has got to hurt - and now he's got over half a marathon still to complete!

There are 12 laps to go in the wheelchair races.

Eight-time champion David Weir takes his turn at the front of the men's pack, but he's not pulling away from the seven-strong group yet.

Nikita Den Boer and Manuela Shar are still sharing the women's lead. This is a really impressive performance from Dutchwoman Den Boer. Shar was expected to dominate today.

Marcel Hug did momentarily push the pace in the men's race but it's slowed right back down again. He and Brit David Weir are in a seven-strong leading pack.

It's a much smaller group in the women's race, with just Manuela Shar and Nikita Den Boer going it alone up front.

Drama in the men's race!

Britain's John Boy Smith has got a puncture. He was up with the leading men's pack so that is so disappointing.

Compatriot David Weir is still going strong with the leaders after the first 20 minutes.
