One last thing before I go, here's the result of our vote: Team Mayweather will be the happier camp, with 55.8% of you saying their boy will win on the night, with 44.2% plumping for Pacquiao.
Oh, I forgot to mention, if you fancy a ticket for the fight, it was announced by Mayweather's advisor Leonard Ellerbe that they will range from $1500 to $7500. Which, in actuality, is a bit of a nonsense, because after they've been carved up by sponsors, promoters, friends of fighters and celebrities, you'll have more chance of getting into Fort Knox.
The 'family' photo raises one or two chuckles, although the sudden appearance of Mayweather's best buddy Justin Bieber suddenly wipes the smile from the boxer's face. That was that. I've seen worse. Although I do hope it's a bit less grave and a bit more spicy during fight week. Night.
Floyd Mayweather: "First off I have to thank my father - an unbelievable trainer and person. I have to thank Showtime, MGM Grand, so many social media outlets, Al Haymon, Team Pacquiao - it has been a long road but we are here now.
"May 2. Fight of the century. The best fighting the best. Manny is one of the best fighters of this era, our game plan is to be smart just like we have been in the previous 47.
"The world cannot miss this fight. It will be action-packed. I am working hard in the gym, dedicating myself to the sport because I have never wanted to win a fight so much in all my life and I'm sure he wants to win just as badly as I do.
"One thing I know about sport. When you lose it is in your mind. If you lose once it is always in your mind. From an early age I was pushed to be a winner and be the best that I can be.
"I have to be thankful that we have all come together as one to give the world what they want to see. May 2. The world stops. Mayweather v Pacquiao the biggest fight in history. Thank you."
There is a touch of the Apple new product announcement about this presser, when it comes to Mayweather's turn on the podium, so grave is his intonation that it's as if he's about to introduce a watch that doubles as a device that makes dreams come true. They're pretty much done for now, I think...
Manny Pacquiao: "I believe this is what you've been waiting for since five years ago. The fight is on and I know you're very excited. I know we will train hard for this fight and we will do our best to give you what you want. I'd like to thank God for this opportunity. I came from nothing into something and it's all credit to the Lord.
"I would like to thank [trainer] Freddie Roach for being very nice to me, [promoter] Bob Arum and Team Pacquiao. I'd like to thank the fans, the media, Showtime, HBO for making this fight happen so thank you and God bless."
Ninja Potato:, external "Mayweather's greatest skill is his ability to pick fights. He will win this fight, but five years ago Pacman would have won easy."
Andrew Priestley: , external"You don't get the sense that there is a boxing match about to take place between these two, it's more of a business deal."
Pacquiao is up on the podium, we'll have a few words from the hard wee man in a moment...
As Arum gives an impassioned introduction to Pacquiao, taking in the Philippines' taking in of Jews during the Holocaust and how they fought side by side with Americans against the Japanese, Pacquiao is busy texting. The modern generation, they just don't give a monkey's about history.
Here comes Freddie Roach. I reckon he might have a few choice words to say, just to spice things up a bit. "We're fighting the best fighter in the world - but we're gonna kick his ass..." Lovely stuff, even Mayweather liked that.
Stephen Espinoza, Showtime vice-president: We're so proud and excited to have helped bring this fight together. But we're not at all surprised this fight was made, it's always been a top priority, both for Floyd and us. Floyd has wanted the Pacquiao fight badly since 2009 but the infamous drug-taking clause meant the fight didn't happen."
Bob Arum gets a clap from Mayweather as he takes to the stand. They're supposed to hate each other but they shake hands and Mayweather flashes the old man a big grin. I guess a few hundred million dollars will make hate go away, at least for a few months. "It's been seamless," says Arum, overlooking the fact it's been six years in the making. "We're all family," he continues. If he means a happy one, he's probably wrong. If he means like the Corleones, he's probably right.
It's Mayweather's right-hand man Leonard Ellerbe doing the introductions. Not surprisingly, Mayweather's advisor Al Haymon isn't up on the dais. Haymon, educated like Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum at Harvard, made his name in the music industry. He is also more elusive than the Yeti, leading some to believe he might actually be a figment of Mayweather's child-like imagination.
Pacquiao has a slight Mona Lisa smile on his face as he faces up to Mayweather, the American has nobody's smile on his. Mayweather is a couple of inches taller and is wearing the better suit, by some distance. No beef to report - as yet. Remember when Mike Tyson met Lennox Lewis for the first time? Tyson ended up taking a chunk out of Lewis's leg. And they say boxing ain't what it used to be...
Pacquiao was introduced to the dais by HBO annnouncer Michael Buffer, Mayweather gets Showtime's Jimmy Lennon Jr. Who will announce Buffer and Lennon on 2 May remains a closely guarded secret. Mayweather is on the stage and here they come, face to face...
Our stream has kicked in and the news conference it about to begin. It's Michael Buffer doing the honours, a man whose introductions become more irrelevant as stereo technology gets louder. Pacquiao is on the stage, we await Mayweather...
Floyd Mayweather made $2500 for his pro debut, against Mexico's Roberto Apodaca at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas on 11 October 1996. Apodaca was also making his debut that night, and his career ended two years later with a final record of four fights and four defeats, three by KO.
Nathan Reynolds:, external "This fight is the end of Mayweather, ducked Kahn and this is the only fight and question on his career he can't avoid, cash in."
Marwan Awar:, external "Pacman isn't as good as he was 5 years ago, Floyd has been pretty smart with his timing."
The obligatory stare-down.
Back in December 2007, Ricky Hatton dug out one of Reni from the Stone Roses' sunhats for his final pre-fight news conference.
American boxing writer Kevin Iole, external on Twitter: "Pacman keeps being asked about what the fight means to the people in the Philippines and he keeps giving the same answer: They're happy"
