The atmosphere will sizzle because Katie Taylor has won and next into the ring will be David Haye and Tony Bellew.

Whatever they have done in their careers so far, whatever they go on to do, this will be one of the standout moments because of the build-up.

The three men on the microphone are in full debate. Steve Bunce, Mike Costello and former world champion Richie Woodhall.

Woodhall thinks Tony Bellew has been "underestimated" and thinks the Liverpudlian's fight will "begin" if he survives the first four rounds.

Back on food watch for a second, David Haye's pre-fight meal probably has a slightly different look to his opponent Tony Bellew's tonight - the Hayemaker is a vegan.

Anthony Joshua got a special entrance and he isn't even fighting. Between bouts, security men parted crowds and in he walked to a grand reception.

High-fives aplenty for those closest to him, he's here and who knows, he could be up against one of Tony Bellew or David Haye at some stage.

Boxing is a little bit WWE after all, earlier tonight Ohara Davies walked to the ring to the same tune as the Undertaker - I'm not joking.

Coming into the ring for the penultimate bout is Ireland's former Olympic champion Katie Taylor, who is taking on Monica Gentili.

Victory over her Italian opponent would give the London 2012 gold medallist three wins out of three since turning professional in October.

This super featherweight fight will be six two-minute rounds.

As you stream into the O2 Arena you're met by colour, energy and an uplifting sense that there's something good on the horizon.

Then you enter the arena itself, a colosseum tonight if you will. You hear the grunt of shots being thrown on the undercard, there's a mist in the air as heat leaves the fighters' bodies in the ring and all the while, those ringside are screaming, at times praying if it's a family member in there.

Yes there may be glitz in parts but my word, the fight game is brutal.

And you know things are getting out of hand when one of the sport's legends has to have a word...

Five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather weighed into the debate, telling Haye he should "focus on the fighter" rather than "trash talk" fans.

"Trash talking is OK but being disrespectful is something totally different," he told BBC Sport.

"I heard he was talking about the fans. He should focus on the fighter."

David Haye v Tony Bellew: Haye has no regrets over Bellew insults

But Haye said he had "no regrets" about his comments...

"I'm not intending to do damage to him, but it's a dangerous sport and my job is to punch him as hard as I can in his head and body for 36 minutes," he told BBC Sport.

"It's hard to expect me to do that and be all lovey-dovey at the same time."

Bellew, though, said Haye's comments earlier went beyond the usual trash talk.

"His comments are disrespectful, degrading and drag the sport through the mud. There will be no handshakes."

It also caught the attention of the British Boxing Board of Control, who warned both fighters about their "extremely disappointing comments".

The boxing chiefs were not enamoured by the way Haye insulted fans and gave graphic descriptions of hurting Bellew.

BBBofC general secretary Robert Smith cited "tragedies" in the sport and said he has asked both men to be "sensible".

  19. 'Unnecessary and unedifying'published at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

The exchange didn't go down well with our man Steve Bunce: "It was unnecessary and unedifying, but it was gripping for all the wrong reasons.

"In all my years covering the sport, it was the oddest press conference. I've never seen hatred like that ever in my life between two fighters.

"I saw it at the Dorchester [at the first press conference in November] and it disturbed me, and I saw it again in Liverpool.

"I think they are going to have to have a cordon of security people dividing them like they did when Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson fought each other."

  20. Haye calls out Liverpool fanspublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March 2017

Haye v Bellew: Fighters kept apart at Liverpool press conference

Well, they were physically kept apart at a presser last week, but that didn't stop the tirade of abuse flowing both ways.

The British pair entered through separate corridors at a Liverpool hotel and were divided by security for the traditional pre-fight face-off.

An agitated Haye told the crowd: "Deep in all of your tiny minds you know this guy is getting drilled to the canvas pretty fast."

Bellew responded: "When the gas runs out, the big fat Scouser is going to steam through him."
