To say the blows in this Scott Quigg bout are audible is the understatement of the night so far.

The term "war" is trotted out too often in boxing. This is one.

Giuseppe Cornacchia: Joshua v Klitschko is going to be fun but Klitschko is much more experienced and rounded than Joshua so going with him winning by KO in round 10.

K J Poulton: Whoever wins the fight, boxing emerges as the winner. Proves trash talk is not necessary before a big fight!

Jimmy: I fancy Wlad. Joshua's only real professional test has been Whyte, and that took seven rounds.

Shown on the big screens around the stadium is the sight of Anthony Joshua getting his hands wrapped.

Vitali Klitschko, brother of Wladimir, is watching on hawk-like.

Even the sight of Joshua gets a huge roar from a Wembley Stadium that is filling up nicely. The noise later on is going to be deafening.

Wembley begins to look more and more sublime. As the light fades, the spotlights and ring lights just stand out all the more. The crowd murmurs really, roars break out when clinical action takes place.

In truth, it's not even simmering in here yet. You get the sense those here are just taking in surroundings, waiting for the big one, where 90,000 sets of eyes will beam at the ring.

I'm going celebrity hunting from 21:00. To see who we find, keep an eye on the BBC Sport Instagram account and our live story.

  9. Quigg v Simion updatepublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

A brutal third round at Wembley Stadium. Quigg, after losing the opening two rounds, charges forward on the attack. He lands some punches on Viorel Simion, but also wears some as well.

Quigg, who lost to Carl Frampton in February 2016 with the IBF and WBA bantamweight titles up for grabs, is aiming to move towards an IBF world featherweight title later in the year.

His gung-ho approach is entertaining, but he may need a bit more subtlety to be successful against an extremely tough opponent.

Katie Taylor speaking to Sky Sports:

"I'm always a bit critical of myself and I thought it was a bit scrappy at times. She was a great opponent with great amateur pedigree. I feel very strong and good at this weight and I hope to unify the division soon.

"I think I need to have a couple more 10 rounders under my belt but I feel like I'm ready now to fight for a world title.

"Fighting here is incredible, it's a dream come true.  But the best is yet to come."

Ireland's Katie Taylor stopped Nina Meinke of Germany in the seventh round of their world title eliminator at Wembley Stadium.

The 30-year-old, who won gold at the 2012 Olympics, is now expected to challenge Uruguay's WBA world lightweight champion Cecilia Comunales.

Taylor, from Bray in County Wicklow, has won all five of her bouts since turning professional in October 2016.

She hopes to have a world title fight in Dublin in the autumn.

In the ring at the moment, Scott Quigg, aiming to get back to the top table of boxing, is in action in his IBF World Featherweight Championship eliminator against tough Romanian Viorel Simion.

This is Quigg's first fight since getting trained by legendary trainer Freddie Roach - the man who has trained Amir Khan, Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto.

Roach might not be happy with how it is going in the first two rounds, with Simion on top. It could be a tough night for Quigg.

  13. Expert predictions - Lennox Lewispublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    BBC Radio 5 live

Lennox Lewis, the last man to be undisputed heavyweight champion, told BBC Radio 5 live: "Now is the perfect time for Joshua, because Wladimir Klitschko has a chink in his armour in getting beaten by Tyson Fury.

"With the age aspect of Klitschko, he doesn't have the legs, the power that he used to. There are a lot of different factors going on in his life as well.

"I believe Joshua is more focused. Does he want to be undisputed champion? Absolutely."

Did you know? Lewis, Joshua and Klitschko all won Olympic gold but only Joshua and the late Joe Frazier became world champions while still Olympic champion.

I've tried adding up how many world title belts this pair have won but gave up quickly. Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield are chatting away like best buds - they battered each other for 24 rounds in 1999 remember.

It is filling up nicely now. The spotlights dance around the crowd. I've just found one gent who has come in a suit and a traditional boxing robe. He carried two pints as he stood there, not what your eyes are trained to see I can tell you. It just looked all wrong.

  18. Expert predictions - Vitali Klitschkopublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 29 April 2017

    BBC Radio 5 live

Former world heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko told BBC Radio 5 live: "I've never seen my brother so concentrated.

"I want to say that Joshua is a great fighter, and has great skills, but he has never been at such a high level. He looks relaxed, like it will be easy. It will not be.

"Everyone has weaknesses; Wladimir's is his concentration. If he is 100% concentrated, Joshua has no chance. Ask me about speed, power, experience, Wladimir is better."

Did you know? Vitali had three spells as world heavyweight champion. Wladimir has two to his name so far.

Luke Campbell wins WBA world lightweight championship eliminator

Luke Campbell, who has just won his WBA world lightweight eliminator against Darleys Perez, has just been talking to Sky Sports.

On beating Darleys Perez, Campbell said: "It's exactly what I wanted. Perez is a smart fighter, patient. I wanted the rounds, I wanted to try out new things and show my skills off.

"He's been in with some of the best, very experienced."

On potentially fighting WBA lightweight champion Jorge Linares next: "Linares is a brilliant champion. To be the best you have to beat the best and that's exactly what I want to do."

There are times when you think life is pretty sweet. This is one of those times.

Wembley looks divine. The red seats begin to disappear as bodies flow in, the lights bring the ring to life as those inside it dance like ballerinas.

There are those who decry boxing for their own reasons. On nights like this though, its spectacle is magnificent.

When full, the noise in here will be truly scary.
