  1. Round 12published at 04:55 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

All over! Frampton tries to push Santa Cruz back, both men trading more leather than a second-hand shoes salesman.

The pair embrace at the final bell, both raising their arms in celebration. The Mexican camp is whooping - they think their man has his revenge. We'll find out shortly...

As the bell sounds for the final round, cries of "Leo" ring around the MGM.

The Mexican fans in here think Leo Santa Cruz has avenged last year's defeat by Carl Frampton - and they may well be right.

This has been an epic duel, but it seems Santa Cruz might have edged it.

  3. Round 12published at 04:53 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

Frampton looks like he believes he needs a knockout - he's going for it. Santa Cruz uses the side of his head to push Frampton back as the tired fighters lock horns. Into the final minute...

  4. Round 12published at 04:52 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

Now or never for Frampton? The pair embrace just before the opening bell dings for the final time....

  5. Going to the judges?published at 04:52 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

Andrew Priestley: So many of these rounds are just too close to call. It will all come down to the judges' opinions, that's always dangerous.

  6. 'Bounce, bounce, bounce!'published at 04:51 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

Trainer Shane McGuigan in his man's corner shouts: "Win this round with your feet don't let him touch you at all. Bounce, bounce, bounce!"

  7. Round 11published at 04:51 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

Into the nitty gritty. Two rounds to go. Six minutes. Frampton needs to up the ante, according to all the experts.

The Northern Irishman, roared on by his supporters, tries his best, pushing Santa Cruz back on the ropes. But he barely lands, the Mexican twirling him round, Santa Cruz attacking as Frampton flounders.

A meaty left hook from Frampton ends the round - but that was clearly Santa Cruz's round.

This fight is exactly like the first. There were a lot of punches thrown in that one and a lot in this one too.

Both fighters have great stamina and these are the round that count now.

The last round was very close but I think Frampton needs to get more shots out there, cleaner shots from different angles with better head movement.

I give it a 10-10 round. Both fighters are tired and letting punches go.

  9. Round 10published at 04:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

You get the feeling that Frampton is going to have wade in sooner rather than later. It's tight and some might suggest the American judges might sway slightly towards the Californian-based Mexican. Frampton is a little disorganised, walking into a couple, but then lands a couple of left hooks as the pair trade on the ropes in the final 20 seconds. Problem is that Santa Cruz lands too...

  10. Wall of noise from Mexican fanspublished at 04:45 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

The Mexicans here enjoying the success for Santa Cruz, he really opened up in aggressive fashion at the end of that round.

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

    Amir Khan

Electrifying, it was all go again. I gave that to Santa Cruz.

This is very close, I'm sure both fighters will be getting lots of advice from their corners... it's very close.

If Carl wants to win he needs to push it and not get hit with silly shots.

Is everyone at home watching this with a pen and paper? That's how I'm trying to keep score - or at least a guess of the score - but this is devilishly difficult to call.

After James DeGale's recent stalemate with Badou Jack, could we be heading for another draw?

  13. Round ninepublished at 04:43 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

Shane McGuigan tells Frampton he lost round eight. I'm not so sure. Mind games? There is a bit of a stand-off midway through this ninth round, before Frampton goes in before being warned off by the Santa Cruz jab.

Referee Kenny Bayliss has to get involved for possibly the first time tonight, pushing Frampton off when he leans on the Mexican on the ropes.

Santa Cruz improves in the final minute, landing a big right hand, then a jab, finishing with a decent combination. Frampton trudges off looking slightly despondent.

  14. 'Carl's got his second wind'published at 04:40 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

    Amir Khan

Very nice round from Frampton, I think he's got his second wind; he's boxing a great fight.

In the early rounds he was smothering his work but he's tidied things up.

I've got Frampton a round up now.

Frampton working his way back into the fight with steady, increasing pressure. More aggressive again in the eighth. I have it 76-76 after eight.

  16. Round eightpublished at 04:38 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

"That was a good round - let's have another one," says Frampton's trainer Shane McGuigan ahead of round eight.

Sound advice. Does his man listen? I'd say so. He leans in close on Santa Cruz, trying to use his weight advantage. Good defence from Santa Cruz though.

You need a crowbar to prise these two fellas apart.

  17. 'Frampton countering well'published at 04:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

    Amir Khan
Former unified light-welterweight world champion on BBC Radio 5 live

I give round seven Frampton. I think he was boxing well, being smart and making Santa Cruz miss. He's catching him with good counters coming back. Great head movement to by Frampton too.

If he sticks to that [plan] he wins, but he has to stay focused.

Frampton probably edged seven but needs to stay off the ropes. Santa Cruz looks dangerously dominant when he gets his opponent backtracking.

  19. 'Buzzsaw style of aggression'published at 04:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

Santa Cruz just keeps coming with this buzzsaw style of aggression.

  20. Round sevenpublished at 04:35 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2017

    Frampton v Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz drops the pace a touch, starting to breathe a little heavier as he keeps his distance, slowing the round down. Frampton's right eye is slightly swollen, nothing major but something which Santa Cruz might want to target. Another late flurry from the Mexican in the final 20 seconds, Frampton again ducking out of the way.
