Round 11: Luke Campbell v Yvan Mendy

    Luke CampbellImage source, PA

Yvan Mendy clearly likes his own work in the 11th. Punching the air at the end of the round. Surely he needs a knockout though in the next three minutes if he is to be punching the air at the end of the contest.

Luke Campbell has been workmanlike, without ever really catching the eye. An incredibly flat undercard though in miserable wet conditions.

Joshua, Povetkin, Wilder, Fury. Who would win a Super Series-style mini tournament and why?

Justin Bond: Deontay Wilder for me. Too much 1 punch power but the longer it goes before Joshua fights him the better as Joshua is still learning #bbcboxing, external

Round 10: Luke Campbell v Yvan Mendy

"Two rounds, concentrate," is the message from Luke Campbell's corner. The Hull man wanted revenge. He is six minutes away from getting it. The Frenchman may have to get a bit desperate and take some risks if he is to overturn this one.

Luke Campbell has looked slick here against a game type. Lots of good footwork and a patience about his own punching. Some of the slapping hooks he’s landed in recent minutes point to a touch more swagger. So far, this is exactly what he needed.

Just needs to see these closing stages through.

Round 9: Luke Campbell v Yvan Mendy

A win is all that matters for Luke Campbell as he aims to get a WBC title fight. He is ahead, but not looking overly impressive tonight.

  8. 'Campbell well ahead'published at 21:25 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Luke Reddy
    BBC Sport at Wembley Stadium

The consensus where I'm sat ringside is that Luke Campbell is well ahead. He's been on the move from the off, circling the ring time after time as the older man walks him down.

It'll be interesting to see if Campbell varies things now and takes a bit more of a hold in the middle of the ring.

Still it rains. The men in the ring are the only ones escaping it.

Joshua, Povetkin, Wilder, Fury. Who would win a Super Series-style mini tournament and why?

Stephen‏: I think people underestimate @Tyson_Fury, external. I just hope the Fury and Wilder fight goes ahead, and obviously the winner fights AJ.

Josh Murphy: Tyson Fury because he is the best boxer out of them all and beat the man who was the man.

“Alexander Povetkin is the most dangerous man Anthony Joshua has had to face in the ring. The Russian banger is here to end Joshua’s reign at the top.”

That’s an intro line in the official programme.

“I am happy I have the fight I wanted and am coming to make it count,” says Povetkin.

If I read much more I’m going to start believing he may win!

Round 7: Luke Campbell v Yvan Mendy

A strange atmosphere to the night so far. It has been an uninspiring undercard with thousands of empty seats visible. We are expecting the ring walks for Joshua and Povetkin at 9.50pm so not too long to hide away from the rain.

Seven gone. Still anyone's fight. Campbell maybe slightly ahead, but not by much and Mendy is still very much in this one.

  13. Price suffers defeat to Kuzminpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

Earlier in the evening David Price retired on his stool after four gruelling rounds against Sergey Kuzmin.

The Liverpudlian had to concede defeat because of a tear in his bicep, something he later admitted he had been monitoring for weeks.

Price had shown signs of promise as the 35-year-old looked to get the better of his opponent in a third-round brawl, but that was as good as it got.

The defeat marks back-to-back losses, and the sixth of Price's career, after he was knocked out against Alexander Povetkin in March.

Joshua, Povetkin, Wilder, Fury. Who would win a Super Series-style mini tournament and why?

Adam Y: If the April Wembley date brought the winners together then there is one!!! Heart says Fury. Head says AJ.

    Frosty: Wilder because he’s better.

Daniel‏: Anthony Joshua would win hands down he’s better than all them clowns.

  15. 'I'm keeping the mentality of a contender'published at 21:17 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

Speaking to Sky Sports just now, Anthony Joshua says: "I’m keeping the mentality of a contender to keep that hunger. You can fight like you have everything to lose, but I fight like I have got everything to gain."

On Povetkin's credentials: "When you start out, you have dreams of fighting and beating the best, so where else would you like to be? You have got to listen to the people, they want it, so I hope I can provide it."

It is certainly a slow-burner but signs of life in the sixth with a beautiful uppercut from Luke Campbell rocking the head of Mendy backwards. A rare bright spot in a pretty uninspiring contest so far.

Earlier on Cem - in the suit here - was taking some stick for being so well dressed.

He thinks Joshua will win on points while his London pals Harry and Ash go for a knockout win.

Jack though, second from the left in the front row, was the only person on Wembley Way I heard go for Povetkin.

Joshua, Povetkin, Wilder, Fury. Who would win a Super Series-style mini tournament and why?

Maximus Decimus‏: Joshua. Literally nobody rated Fury before Klitschko. He is Buster Douglas if he took 3 years off and then fought nobodies.

Ben White: Tyson Fury. He’s the only boxer on the list. The rest are just punchers.

Simon‏: Tyson Fury. Always suspicious when boxers don't want to fight someone #alarmbells, external
