  1. Can Tyson avoid the big Wilder right hand?published at 04:36 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2018

I've swayed both ways. It's 50-50. As long as Tyson can avoid that right hand. If he doesn't, he's asleep for a couple of weeks. If that doesn't happen I can see a decision, maybe even a draw.

What is going to happen tonight?

Roy_72: Though interested in the result, I can’t see this as being anything but a really ugly looking fight between fighters with awkward styles. Tyson rends to win while making the other boxer look bad, DW dominates with reach and power but here is is up against a much bigger man with surprisingly good feet. 60/40 in favour of TF.

Chris: I would be surprised if Tyson Fury lasts five rounds let alone win on points. If Fury had a big enough punch to keep Wilder off him I'd say he has a chance. Fury has skills but he's not going to fiddle Wilder around the way he did Klitschko. My money would have been on Wladimir knocking Fury out if the rematch happened because Wladimir would let his hands go if it had happened.

UKKiwi01: I think a fully fit Fury wipes the floor with Wilder but he can't possibly be in peak condition given where he's come from and the build-up he's had. I think it's 60/40 in Wilders favour given fitness and home town advantage. Hoping Fury can do it though.

Matt Christie - editor of boxing news - to my left says Wilder points. Boxing writer Declan Taylor to my right goes Fury in a wide points win.

Kind of sums it up. No one knows!

As Andy mentioned, a certain Anthony Joshua is a potential opponent in the future for either man.

But 5 Live Sport's boxing pundit Steve Bunce does not expect Joshua to face the winner of Tyson Fury against Deontay Wilder for his next fight in April.

    Andy Lee
Former middleweight world champion on BBC Radio 5 live

It should be the biggest attraction in sport when you have two guys fighting for a heavyweight title. It's how it should be, once Anthony Joshua gets involved with these two boxing will be back on to the platform it deserves.

Traditionally, every man on the street could name the heavyweight champion of the world but you can't really say that now.

Legendary illusionist and stunt performer Harry Houdini has a star in Hollywood.

It got me thinking, what kind of stunt or escape act will Tyson Fury need to pull off tonight?

Houdini escaped from chains, straight jackets, you name it. Fury is the underdog in this and needs to escape the swinging arms of a man packing crushing power.

Britain’s 2008 Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries now has a gym in Los Angeles. He tweeted this week saying Wilder was “by far the hardest hitting person I’ve trained.”

Tyson needs a stunt of big proportions here.

  10. Fury is scared and he should be - Wilderpublished at 04:30 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2018

WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder says Tyson Fury is running "scared" ahead of their fight.

Wilder was speaking to BBC Radio 5 live after the pair were separated at their final news conference for pushing during a face off.

"I know what fear smells like, I can identify it. He is scared and he should be." Wilder said.

When he talks about the history of the sport, that's when you get a taste of what this means to Fury. When he talks about the heavyweight division, his knowledge is nothing short of encyclopedic. He knows what impact a win here would have on the division.

Deontay Wilder has come into this fight his lightest ever and there is no doubt what his camp's plan for this fight is. Speed and distance means power in boxing.

What is going to happen tonight?

Finlay: I just think no matter how hard Wilder hits Fury he won’t hurt him! Klitschko hit him with his hardest punches and Fury laughed at him! He’s just a big brute! Fury on points!

RB: I think DW will be too quick, with in and out combinations for Fury to cope with. Fury will use his size to make it awkward, but he does not have the punching power that someone of his size should. Against a complacent and ageing Klitschko is was about clinching and not getting hit, Wilder should not let that happen, I am taking Wilder in 10.

James: I genuinely hope Tyson does it. He is a strange guy, was 10 stone overweight, clearly has mental health issues. Yet I remember that night in Germany against Kiltschko. It was an amazing display. Tyson is a flawed genius, I just don't know if he is ready.

Los Angeles offers plenty. There are designer boutiques, glitz and glamour, yet Tyson Fury was shocked at the homeless population - thought to be around 55,000 - and there’s no doubt it’s prominent wherever you go.

Tents on the sides of busy streets are common place, a stark reminder on a night where both fighters will earn millions.

If memorabilia is your thing there’s been plenty flying around out here. I’ve seen one British gent barter a boxing glove signed by both fighters down from $500 to $300, that’s around £400.

Artist Patrick Killian put this piece together too and he’s certain it will sell come fight night.
