  1. Time for prayer...published at 04:28 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

Fury's team stand in a circle in his changing room with their arms locked around one another. I think they are praying. A moment of calm before inevitable chaos.

  2. Dropping the robe...published at 04:28 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

Now from what I can gather, Tyson Fury is putting an all-black robe over the top of a robe which sports the US flag. I can only guess he will drop one robe to reveal another.

This could be some ring walk.

  3. Fury's OCD habitspublished at 04:27 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

If you have a tendency to show a bit of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) in your daily life, you're not alone.

This week Tyson Fury said he has several examples in his life which as long as he keeps on top of, ensure he has a good day and keeps his mind in check.

    They include:

    - Fury can't go to bed and sleep if he knows there is a dirty plate in his kitchen

    - Fury has to have his car's stereo volume on an even number

    - The heaters in his dashboard all have to be at the exact same height and angle

    - He can't handle mess or rubbish in the house and consequently takes rubbish to the tip three or four times a week.

So there you go, even the king heavyweights can get flustered by a stray crisp packet.

  5. Your timing is perfect...published at 04:23 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

Right, if you're just joining us you've timed it sweetly as we are expecting the ring walks any time soon. Tyson Fury - the former heavyweight champion of the world - up against Tom Schwarz, a German hardly anyone outside of boxing has heard of until tonight.

The ring is getting cleared, the officials are getting ready, it's nearly time. Can Schwarz become the Andy Ruiz of this Las Vegas night?

  6. A change in vibe...published at 04:20 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

Things were jovial and friendly at the midweek news conference for this heavyweight bout, you can see that by hitting play above.

But things took a slight turn, with a touch more heat in proceedings when the two fighters squared up at Friday's weigh-in.

  7. 'Ruiz Jr opened up the division'published at 04:19 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Joseph Parker
Former world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Before the fight, I told everyone that Andy Ruiz Jr throws big hard shots in combinations. He is the kind of fighter to take a punch before throwing more. He took some from Anthony Joshua before throwing three or four.

I knew he had the ability to beat him but I didn't think he could beat him like that. He has opened up the division and it's very exciting.

  8. Star spangled shorts...published at 04:18 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

It's a bit lively in the Tyson Fury changing room now. He's decided to go for shorts in the colours of the US flag.

There's music blaring, Billy Joe Saunders is in there, his brothers are in there, it's just general Fury carnage.

  10. 'A larger than life character'published at 04:14 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

This is Tyson Fury's first fight with ESPN and he is working alongside legendary American hall-of-fame promoter Bob Arum.

And Arum has likened the Gypsy King to former greats Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, saying he will be a "major star" in the US.

"I recognised a larger-than-life character who reminded me of Ali and Foreman, both of whom I promoted," 87-year-old Arum told BBC Sport.

  11. Germany's number seven...published at 04:10 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

    Fury v Schwarz

    SchwarzImage source, .

If you're wondering why Tom Schwarz is seen as such an underdog despite being unbeaten in 24 bouts, it's worth remembering he is ranked only seventh at heavyweight in his own country.

This of course is world level, not domestic. So he has an ocean of quality to cross if he's to make this competitive.

If you're just getting up to speed, this bout is Tyson Fury's first on his new ESPN deal. So the theory goes that the broadcaster wanted a fight he can be 'showcased' in, with a view to moving on to tougher tests.

BBC Sport boxing commentator Mike Costello: "When I spoke to Fury this week, I was struck by how unbelievably healthy he looked. That complexion belongs on a magazine cover.

"I know some will say he can afford to be relaxed fighting someone who is ranked only number seven in Germany but I think he has disarmed Schwarz this week, sucking him in with friendship."

Nyangaresi,AB: Not a huge fan of boxing but I've to admit I'm always glued to BBC live text coverage of almost everything! Having said that,I still think I've heard and seen enough of Tyson Fury to believe the hype he's one of the greats of heavyweight boxing in modern times.

  20. Controversy in Europepublished at 03:50 British Summer Time 16 June 2019

We've already had some controversy this evening as Mairis Briedis won the WBO world cruiserweight title after elbowing Krzysztof Glowacki in Latvia.

Briedis, the home favourite, floored Glowacki with an elbow to the head with 40 seconds left in the second round.

But referee Robert Byrd ordered the Pole to his feet before he was knocked down twice in the same round, with the second coming after the bell in Riga.
