  1. Double figures for Josh...published at 23:11 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

    Warrington v Takoucht

This is Josh Warrington's 10th outing at his city's major arena in a career which started at Huddersfield Leisure Centre in 2009 and has even taken him to a world-title win at Elland Road. Not bad. Not bad at all.

We are moments away from his main event. Sweet Caroline is playing. That's all you need to know...

"Reaching out.... touching me.... touching youuuuuu...."

  2. Postpublished at 23:06 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

There's a middle-aged man with his shirt off and a fairly rounded stomach dancing from side to side in the stands at Leeds Arena. Now that's how we like it...

  3. Big tunes. Big, big tunes...published at 23:04 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

    Warrington v Takoucht

Freed from Desire rings out around Leeds Arena and that can only mean one thing... big noise and a general feel of carnage.

Josh Warrington v Sofiane Takoucht up next.

    Here we go....

  4. 'Hard as nails'published at 23:04 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

Dave Coldwell, who trained Tony Bellew and now looks after others at his Rotheham base, was impressed by the gallant nature of the beaten Scot Jordan McCorry.

  5. Barrett beats McCorry to keep Commonwealth titlepublished at 23:02 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

Not long after cousin Lyndon Arthur won the Commonwealth light-heavyweight belt, Zelfa Barrett successfully defended his own super-featherweight title.

The slick Barrett, 26, knocked fellow Briton Jordan McCorry for a third time to prompt the referee to stop the fight in the ninth round of a feisty contest.

Barrett has now won 23 of his 24 contests, with his only defeat coming against Ronnie Clark at York Hall last year.

  6. Painting the world over...published at 23:00 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

Welsh artist Patrick J. Killian gets himself about. I've bumped into him in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, London, Cardiff and I believe he's going to Saudi Arabia in a few weeks.

He's painted everyone from Anthony Joshua to Andy Ruiz Jr, Tyson Fury and now, promoter Frank Warren.

That's the loudest chant of the night at Leeds Arena.

    Warrington v Takoucht

World champions at featherweightImage source, .

So what does tonight all mean?

Well if Josh Warrington gets his way it will lead to a unification bout with WBC world champion Gary Russell Jr. The pair have already exchanged words on social media and there's no doubt Warrington fancies a bit of a crack at a man who has only ever lost to the decorated and almost flawless Vasyl Lomachenko.

A Britain versus American bout in Las Vegas wouldn't have get some air time and given the personalities of the two potential opponents, there'd be a good bit of animosity in the build-up.

  9. Barrett defending Commonwealth titlepublished at 22:49 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

Commonwealth super-featherweight championship Zelfa Barrett is currently defending his title against Jordan McCorry on the undercard in Leeds.

McCorry has been on the canvas but he has given Barrett - the cousin of newly crowned Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion Lyndon Arthur - more than the odd scare too.

  10. A 12-second challenge....published at 22:48 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

    Warrington v Takoucht

Speaking of Sean O'Hagan. While his training may be on point, his 12-second challenge perhaps a bit less so.

  11. All in the bag work...published at 22:42 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

    Warrington v Takoucht

Bag work, pad work, road work, the hard yards are put in in the gym. Few work as hard as Josh Warrington as he grafts under the eye of his trainer and father Sean O'Hagan.

O'Hagan often sells himself as a bit of a comedic figure but speak to enough people in boxing and they'll tell you he stores a tonne of knowledge to impart on his son.

From the strength and conditioning to the nutritional side of the game, O'Hagan is known to be a man who puts any ego aside and picks up the phone to seek the expertise of others in the business.

It seems to be working and as the video below shows, Warrington is a fully applied pupil.

Right now we have Zelfa Barrett and Jordan McCorry in the ring. The latter has just been dropped in round three.

After this it's the main event.

  16. Top knowledge...published at 22:22 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

Some of you are sending in tweets saying the answer to our question on which wrestler would have made the best boxer is obvious. The name Marc Mero is getting a good push as you're telling me he won the New York Golden Gloves tournament as a youngster.

That's knowledge. Hats off to you all.

Apparently Mero was the WWF Intercontinental Champion too under the ring name Johnny B. Badd.

    Terrific. What a bloke.

  17. Josh in silence...published at 22:17 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

    Warrington v Takoucht

I can tell you Josh Warrington is sat silent in his dressing room while Depeche Mode's 'Just Can't Get Enough' plays out at Leeds Arena.

Saturday night revelers lap up the tunes and a shandy or two.

A few Leeds United tunes are imminent no doubt.

  19. Warrington's day at the barrackspublished at 22:13 British Summer Time 12 October 2019

    Warrington v Takoucht

Josh Warrington has built a reputation for being a man of the people. The Leeds fighter has delivered tickets door to door and remained pinned to his home city.

Supporting the fight nights put on by local soldiers has also proved inspirational for the IBF world featherweight champion and BBC Sport followed him on a recent visit.
