Shout out to Laura Crooks and James Egan. They put it simply:

“We came for the fight and thought let’s get married.”

And so that’s what is happening. They’ve gone to the chapel!

    Vegas baby.

  2. This is feeling bigpublished at 23:03 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2020

Tyson Fury appears in big screen walking to stage and the roar is unbelievable.

This is feeling bigger and bigger by the minute.

“Monster,” says 5 Live’s Steve Bunce.

And Wilder weighed a paltry 212lbs for a heavyweight when the pair fought last time.

That was his lowest mark in over a decade, since his debut.

He says he was unwell. If that’s true then he may have more to take to Fury this time around.

    Expect him to be heavier.

So what are we looking for in today’s weigh in.

Last time out, Tyson Fury weighed 254lbs against Otto Wallin. He won but his dad said his son looked “weak”.

So there’s a new trainer and a new nutritionist living with him in Las Vegas.

The upshot is he should weigh in heavier. I’ve been told privately around 11lb or so. This could help him in pursuing the knockout he has promised.

  5. What a turnoutpublished at 23:00 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2020

Some have been lining up for hours to get a good seat.

    The wait nearly over.

Take a look at the video but my guess is there’s close to 4,000 in here.

If you haven’t been lucky enough to get to the MGM Grand before for a fight, you are instantly greeted in reception (which is the size of several tennis courts) by a ring housing the MGM lion.

That’s the symbol for a fight being in town.

And across the ground floor (the size of a village) there are three other boxing rings staging television shows as both FOX and ESPN build up to the huge pay per view.

  7. Welcome to the zoo...published at 22:55 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2020

A reporter just came into the media room and said “it’s a zoo out there.”

That kind of sums up what the corridors of the hotel are like in and around the arena where today’s weigh in takes place.

Good evening one and all. I come to you from sunny Las Vegas, where the ale flows like water, the party never stops and heavyweights make history.

There’s a couple of big fellas in town for a fight and the Las Vegas strip is going absolutely mad for it.

I’ve just met a bride and groom, Elvis lives and the house always wins.

It’s time to weigh in. Stay with me. Sin City loves you baby.
