Tyson Fury hasn't fought since his second bout with Deontay Wilder in February 2020.

He's been busying himself with various non-boxing activities but admits very little else excites him as much as the sport.

"What motivates me? I'm getting asked this a lot," he said. "It's definitely not a few quid, it's a fact there's nothing else.

"I'm boxing because I can - I don't enjoy anything else, I don't have any hobbies. After boxing I will be a very sad, lonely person.

"I've tried [looking after] animals, four-wheeled driving, got a shotgun licence, clay pigeon shooting, nothing turns me on."

    Fury v Wilder III

After losing to Fury in their second bout, Wilder accused his opponent of glove tampering, a claim denied by Fury.

And there is quite an intense atmosphere in the dressing room as Wilder’s coach Jay Diaz – as his did in the last fight – watches Fury’s hands getting wrapped…

    Ajagba v Sanchez

If I were Efe Ajagba, I wouldn't lock eyes with Kay Koroma for a little while. He had to go for it in that final round but he didn't at all.

Not the greatest spectacle but a comfortable win for Frank Sanchez.

That's it, though. Tyson Fury versus Deontay Wilder is up next...

Frank Bruno, who won the WBC heavyweight title in 1995, is confident Tyson Fury can get the job done done tonight.

"I think Tyson won't just beat him again - he's a much better boxer than Wilder and he'll school him," he said.

"Fury will be going in nearly five stone heavier than Wilder and, if he boxes smart, and wears him down, that will make a big difference.

"But you have to be wary of Wilder's windmill punch. He's got a big punch, not much else, but you have to give him a puncher's chance."

    Ajagba v Sanchez

Into the last round and trainer Kay Koroma spells it out to Efe Ajagba what he needs to do to win.

"You need a knock out," Koroma says. "You ain't going to knock him out walking around. Come on man!"

    Round 10 under way.

Both fighters weighed in at their career heaviest with Fury coming in at 277lbs (19st 11lb) and Wilder 17st (238lb).

Fury said of the weights: "It means total obliteration of a dosser. Total annihilation. I’m going to put him in the Royal Infirmary after this fight, don’t worry about that. I will send him home butchered.”

  18. Fury to face a very different Wilder?published at 03:42 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Fury v Wilder III

    Media caption,

Fury has never seen this Deontay Willder before - Scott

Tyson Fury absolutely dominated Deontay Wilder when they last met, but will the British boxer be facing a different Wilder this time?

The 35-year-old American has changed his team and trainer Mark Breland with Malik Scott, a fighter Wilder knocked out in 2014, in his corner now.

Fury has labelled Wilder "a one-trick pony, with one-punch power", but Scott believes he can help his countryman regain his title in Las Vegas by sharpening underused areas of his game.

"I don't have him doing choreographed pad work, ducking down to the ground - he is fighting a tall guy. I don't want my fighter catching punches, I want him to slip punches, parry punches," he said.

"He's more dynamic, more open-minded and this is the best Deontay Wilder people are going to see."

Deontay Wilder arrived quite late to the T-Mobile Arena whereas Tyson Fury was in much earlier. He was chilling in his dressing room with a pillow, watching the undercard.

    Relaxed would be an understatement.

Thumbs up for Fury, thumbs down for Wilder.
