That was a close fight between welterweights Ekow Essuman and Chris Kongo.

Kongo started well, but a remarkable engine from Essuman allowed him to take control of the fight mid-way through and he hurt Kongo in the last round.

No complaints with the scorecards, but thought Essuman did the more eye-catching work and dictated the exchanges in the later half.

British and Commonwealth champion Essuman remains unbeaten and will go back to Queensberry Promotions a very happy man.

  20. Taylor v Catterall rematch postponedpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2023

    Andy Burke
    BBC Scotland reporter

Breaking away from the main event briefly...

Josh Taylor's long-awaited rematch with Jack Catterall on 4 March has been postponed after the Scot sustained an injury in training.

Taylor's split-decision victory last February was his 19th consecutive win in the light-welterweight division.

Many observers felt England's Catterall had done enough to claim the IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO world titles.

Judge Ian John-Lewis, who scored the bout 114-111 in Taylor's favour, was subsequently downgraded.
